This can't be right so I am assuming there is an issue. 200+ ping from NZ to Oceanic servers is really bad.

I am in Hawaii and i just played my first Oceanic server game to see my average ping in the 220's. That's the same ping I get in the Euro servers, which is also around 100 more ping than what I get in the NA servers (averaging 130's).

Voips do not work in Oceanic servers.

Is this some kind of bad joke? I've seen people with worse ping than mine so I don't feel so bad, but I really expected the Oceanic server to make a more positive impact.

If it helps, every match I have played, the ping has decreased. 200+, 192, 181. In NZ btw.

I'm in Perth, WA, on TPG, and I get 380-420ms pings to "Oceanic". My pings to the USA are lower by about 100ms.

If that helps you feel any better.

Same issue here. Might as well just use the American server, same ping, but more people on the server.

In NZ...

My average ping to NA servers 216.
My average ping to Oceanic 212.

I guess this can be considered an improvement...

So Dar1ng One, are you in NZ? If so, what ISP are you using, it may be time for a change...

So... where are the Oceanic servers based?
It can't be anywhere near this continent if the Kiwis and Aussies are complaining.

p.s. Hows the Ashes going ;)

My ping differs depend upon the ISP I chose. Even I am staying in Malaysia (right next to Singapore), I got 250 ping with one ISP and 70 with another different ISP.....so just ditch the poor performance one. I suggest you test it out first with other ISPs first.
