This build is beautiful I get consistent games 300+ dmg. After speed twerk it moves at 169.3km/h, along with the LPL it can dish out consistent damage, without overheating at almost any range. I ran 2 MPLs with the same engine and more JJs however that build seems to get far too hot and relies far too heavily on circling which isn't the spider's strongpoint (especially when you have to cool off after a few shots).
What really makes this mech build stand out however is the quirks with 30% extra energy range, 30% energy cooldown AND -30% laser duration, meaning that poptarting and generally being a nuisance is a whole lot easier that it is in the 5D and to a lesser extent the 5K.
More improvements include the LPL cooldown module which increases the cooldown by ANOTHER 12% which is insane considering it already has a 30% cooldown.

Thanks for reading and would love to see more of my favourite mechs out on battlefield.

I've tried this build long time ago (before the quirkening) and it already worked, I imagine it's even better right now. It's not a competitive mech, but it's fun as heck on PUGs!
The 5K is still better with it's stock ERLL+4MGs, you snipe from very longe range to open up armor then close in to finish with the machineguns. It's good, but for the same role i would rather use the Cicada 3C (ERPPC+4MGs) - just a personal preference.
My Spider 5D runs an unique build, dropping some armor to use 2xERLL with max engine, ECM and a single Jump Jet to reach higher ground and sniping position. I like to move far behind the enemy team using the speed+ECM, then poke their backs with the ERLLs, to open rear armor, finish up damaged mechs fleeing away or just to distract the enemy team while your team tries to make something.
This is the complete build:

I know, it's nearly as fragile as a Locust, but stick to the role I've spoken above and you will be fine. I've done over 750 damage and up to 5 kills using this pest!
