What Mechs Are You Leveling Right Now?

What Mechs are you leveling right now?
1. Which do you like and why?
2. Which do you dislike and why?
For me:
1. Arctic Cheater B: Love it. Fast, good hitboxes, ECM with the prime LT, and lotsa ERSL. Already leveled a 6 SPL version, so trying ERSL this tiem around.
2A. EXE-B: Not loving it, but since I'm leveling it and still in the basics, the thing moves like a slug. For being slow, it isn't really that well armed either. I know it gets better once elited, but ugh.
2B. Panther 10P: Hate it. Talk about how to NOT have hardpoints on a light mech. Thing has two ballistic slots and two missile slots. Currently running UAC5 and SRM2, but have tried about 4 different builds and hated all of them. If my OCD would allow me to have an unmastered mech, I wouldnt' even bother.
2C. Shadow Cat P. 7 Ballistic slots do not work very well on this chassis. Hate it. I've already run 2 LPL, 3ASRM6, and UAC10 Scats, so trying to level this one with a different loadout. Problem is if I use MGs, its too much facetime in a very fragile mech.
So, what are you all leveling right now?

Specifically the 1D, 1G, and 3S.
Holy ****, laser vomiting is easy. The 1G and the 3S are giving me such high WLR and KDR, I feel like PGI had reseted my Assault Elo. (which I personally think is the highest)

- Arctic Cheetah
- Shadow Cat
- Hunchback
- Centurion
Working on the two clan mechs as those were recently released. Working on the two IS chassis as I've already had a few but never picked up three of each. I used the opportunity of the sale the other week to get a few of those and have been working on getting them all through elite.
I like all of the above for different reasons. The only ones that seem a bit sub-par are the shadow-cats as they are very limited on the number of weapons they can field. The cheetah is close to a firestarter and a solid light. The cent and hunch are heavy hitting mediums so I'm pretty happy with those.

Filled with WUB, guts, determination, highly unstable XL Nitroglycerin, and painted as loudly as possible.
Getting killed by my beloved PAINBOW is the equivalent of being beaten to death with a barn door wielded by a drunk giant, and I love that.

2) Hate leveling: Ice Ferret and the Mist Lynx, every time I decide I'm going to level them for the sake of leveling them, I'll play a match or two and just give up. I don't know what it is but neither 'mech appeals to me. I try and play various builds, try and use them as hit and run skirmishers or as long range scouts, but nothing I do makes them any fun. I love the speed of the Ferret but it just feels "meh"...and the Lynx...god what an awful experience I have in that machine, which gives me a sad because I loved it in TT.

I could rage about that Panther for hours.
Anyway, I'm working on the A/C20 Enforcer variant currently (its OK) and then I might tackle the other Grasshopper I got (although I don't care for the mech much).
If time permits (before Resistance 2 starts), I may work on the last Zeus I have too.
I also need to level my Pirate's Bane too, but I'm honestly not liking it very much. Seems to run too hot for my taste despite being a rather mild build (4 MLasers).

I'm also grinding out getting a Timberwolf for a friend's account with the trial Banshee, to encourage him to take another stab at the game.
Once all that's done, looking at buying and levelling Novas.

Oh God, I still have to finish leveling my Scats, Cheetas, and Hellbringers... ARG!! Why do I have to have a job that sucks up most of my day?!... Oh, wait, that's right, I need it to help fund my stompy robot addiction.

Until the IIC go out for Cbills, that is. I cannot live without every type of Hunchback.
and hopefully unseen

Just aim for the legs, ffs.
I'm not sure I'll keep playing the ACH after I've mastered it, to be honest. It's a fantastic mech, but the speedy laserboating game is a bit simplistic for my taste. Not a whole lot of multitasking involved.

I hate the whole leveling process and i'd rather just use the mechs i have currently.
I can't stand the idiotic grind, ugh. If i could, i'd probably try out the Wolverines

Oddly enough, that grind is the reason I play MWO as much as I do. While residing in PUGville, there are no goals (only random match after random match). Leveling a mech sort of gives me a short term (and sometimes long term...looking at you Panther 10P) goal to achieve.
If I like the mech, the grind is fun. If I dislike it, I play it only long enough to win a match and get the 2x bonus, and then I move on to playing mechs I like.
Overall, when I'm not grinding a mech, I still play but i'm not nearly as motivated.

The 1G was my go to "weekend contest" mech in the beginning. I gauss, 6 high mounted ML's with ML modules. My K/D once mastered was silly, (for me) at like 3.5 to 1. Some games you'd knock out 5-6 mechs if you were twisting like a boss.
Never bought the 3S. I liked the 1G and 1S enough that I never needed another. What is your setup for your 3S?

3LPL + 3 MPL. Doing pretty good so far. Will post a thread about it once I finish Eliting those.
