How much is this like MWLL? Im not a fan of the start each match with X amount and earn credits as you inflict damage. I would like the ability to keep everything I find or earn... im just trying to get an idea of how the game lay out is as far as resources. I do want to try it but I dont want to spend cash on something that is the same as MWLL....

It's not MWLL
That's a mod. ( a good mod) and it has a different overall style of play than MWO.
This is a persistent MMO 'mech sim, with a BT history based meta-game.

I don't know for sure but I suspect that they will have multiple ways to earn money, beyond just inflicting damage. I'm guessing if you prefer to play light mechs you'll get credit for acting as a spotter for your team, and maybe earn an assist for damage your team inflicts on your targets. Not sure exactly what other features have been implemented, but I'm sure you'll be able to earn money in a variety of ways.

MWLL is really just MW4 but updated graphics (sort of). it's alright but it's a third party and runs like Counter Strike but with giant robots.

Personally i give the thumbs up to MWO for two reasons A. it's based off the TRO and tabletop and therefore everything has its dangerous edge against everything else, and B. it's free to play. so it doesn't require any payment ahead of time to play (MWLL requires a legal copy of Crysis Wars).

MWLL is fine if you happen to have Crysis Warhead gathering dust on your desk, but theres few servers. and because it's from EA it's filled with anti-piracy spyware that have been known to fubar computers. no thanks.

MWO isn't done, but what is done is incredibly fun, balanced, and well designed. and because of their direct link to their community, they have the ability to tweak a game that many Btech fans have been dying for since 3.

I for one say if you're an avid mechwarrior fan you need this game, even in closed beta. as the game develops more mechs and more weapons will appear, as well as a whole planetary system for clans, corps, and houses. this game will be ******* incredible day 1 because all of the cool things coming aside, ALONE the beta is better than 4 and MWLL.

You do keep everything you earn. AFTER a match, you will need to repair and rearm your mech with the c-bills you earned. You get more for winning and more for doing damage. Unlike MWLL there is NO repair or upgrade during battle. Your earnings for each round are tallyed at the end of the fight.

MWLL has each match as an 'arms race'. you start with limited funds and work your way up through a multi-respawn match.

MWO is not set up like that at all; You play a match in one mech from start to finish. you get paid at the end. In between matches you upgrade your mech, buy a new mech, etc, then you launch again. There has been no data released to indicate there will be any salvage so there is nothing to 'find'. Buy your mechs and equipment with c-bills in the mechlab between matches.

In some ways the combat is similar to MWLL, but there are so many differences it's impossible to list them all (plus the NDA prevents us from dispensing details of the closed beta). It's not MWLL, but it's similar, like any two WWII-themed shooters might be similar; they have the same guns and the same vehicles, a lot of stuff looks pretty similar, but there are so many details that are different.

That's like saying that Crysis is just like Half-Life, but with updated graphics (sort of). Completely different game design, game engine, underlying game mechanics, primary focus on team coordinated combat, etc.

Everyone is welcome to their opinion, but you should probably state it as such instead of posing it as some sort of factual truth.

Crysis WARS does not have any DRM, only the single-player Warhead game has SecuRom DRM - which is NOT required to be able to play MWLL.

This has been Rumour Control, good night.
