Is it possible that the posture will change before it's finished? I really love that it stands tall with leg almost straight, but I'm wondering if the arms will be held a bit wider, so the elbows are a bit further apart, like on the Cataphract, Thunderbolt, Quickdraw, etc. Very few humanoid mechs in the game have their arms straight down like this, so I'm just wondering if it's changed after the 3D modelling is finished.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but it looks a bit stiff at the moment and it reminds me of one of my childhood heroes.

Black Knight needs to get back in the gym and lift more. Go work in some sets with the Thunderbolts.

I don't know. The Stormcrow seems to be doing fine with its chicken legs and pencil thin arms. And since this mech has almost half its firepower in the arms, it's not a bad thing that they're a bit skinny. It's actually even skinner in the concept art.

Aesthetics aside, the hitboxes are probably going to be fairly good, except that the vertical CT ridge makes it hard to spread damage to both side torsos and the tall helmet has the same effect. Unless this thing has some good armour quirks, I predict death by CT destruction every time.

The head looks much rounder, instead of the somewhat pointed look it had.
I'm guessing it's for similar reasons Enforcer's head got mangled?

Sorry. Dont like it...something is wrong with it. It's like having tensed shoulders. Like the Garg and Exe.

Although the basic model looks great.

I'm no expert, but just look at it. If i even can see it, others do too.

I think it looks pretty good. It is a bit skinnier than the concept art. Overall probably a good thing, but visually I kind of liked the bulkier and stockier appearance of the concept.

The head seems...OK, but really the Resistance head is the one I like anyway, so I hope that one translates well.

Overall I think it is turning out well. It will be hard to say for sure before the texturing is added.

BTW, as for the CT, I think it is way too early to tell. You would think the Timber Wolf would have HUGE CT hitbox problems with it's design, but it can spread damage well. I'm not ready to claim CT soft or XL friendly because of a small CT ridge... At least not yet.

Yeah but that is a 55 ton mech that can go 90 something. I doubt the BK will be going 90 and having similar or better agility.

Not quite Storm crow levels, but it is a 75 tonner with energy hard points (Energy generally lighter and not ammo dependant like ballistics). My point is. It should be able mount a big engine and still have good firepower. I think my grasshopper has 2LLasers and 4 MLasers with JJs and a STD engine and does around 90kph (like the Timber Wolf).

The bigger downside is that the BK stands upright like a humanoid and the Storm Crow is more low and squat. That SC can probably more easily avoid fire than the BK can.

Still, as long as they don't set the Engine cap too low, I bet you could make a fast and agile BK.

Looks thinner than I expected, therefore, 9/10 because the concept still looks better but, this looks like one of the best concept-model translations yet. woohoo!

Keep in mind the projection of the model is orthographic rather than perspective which can make proportions seem weird when viewed from an angle. That and as Tina said, it isn't in the resting pose it will have once rigged.

wonderiing how easy it is to get a rear head shot on the mech don't look like there is much protection there, a tall mech regardless of its tonnage will probably be able to core the head posthaste.

I would think next to impossible because the head hitbox is really one small cockpit pane of glass solely at the front of the mech. Hitting that tiny pane from behind would be a neat trick.

It may make the CT more vulnerable, but I don't know if the entire head is front CT, or if it would be sit between front and rear. Hopefully it is all front CT. If it was split, it would be harder to front load CT armor without leaving s rear CT vulnerability.

The only thing that I noticed was that the head comes up above the shoulder shield where as in the art the top of the head sits just a bit below it.
