May God give him rest and Peace. Dead @ 61 yrs, he passed peacefully in his sleep from unknown complications.

Watched YouTube videos of Hot Rod all weekend. Never did care too much for professional wrestling, but he is one anyone would enjoy watching. May he rest in peace.

Unfortunately, he might have died from complications stemming from decades of steroid, coke, alcohol and substance abuse relating to his WWE career. I was listening to interviews of Gene LeBell on the MMA Hour talking about Rowdy. Rowdy called Gene "Dad" and they had something like a father -- son relationship. Sad to see him go. Seemed like a good guy.
