Its too bad that From Software hit a motherlode with Bloodbourne and the Dark Souls franchise. We may not see an Armored Core again although the president of From Software, Miyazaki san, is hinting about making other games that are more scifi related. Miyazaki who directed Bloodbourne, Dark Souls 1 and 3, also directed Armored Core 4 and 4Answer, In a way, AC4 and 4A are the "darkest" episodes of the franchise, and are unchararacteristically dark, and not to mention pure badass, for any mech game.

AC4A was distilled pure awesome, and badass. Some of the endings you could get there made me stare at the screen, stunned thinking "I can't believe they went there. I didn't think that could happen"

Can we finish the circular argument of opinion?

Neither one of you are going to convince the other on which is "better and more realistic". They each have points in, and out, of favor of it.

In the end, immersion is up to the player. Some will care more about cool affects and others want simulators. No need to argue so intensely about it.

I've enjoyed Hawken a bit, as well as really enjoy MW. If I had to give a vote on which was seemed more realistic to me, I'd say MW. But then again, different eras of technology, different universes of technology, etc. Of course, I also place on my "I read the novels of Battletech" glasses on, so I try to envision the game (which given it's nature is more limiting than novel narrative) as if it was more realistic. (Basically, I get "into" Battletech and MW more than Hawken, mostly due to lore, and no other measurement.)

In Hawken, I didn't pay much attention to the maps. I just tried to survive them. ;) (AKA: I didn't play it much, but it was interesting at least.)
