By that reasoning, anyone who likes any MWO mech didn't like "real" mechs. And this I guess, by extension, don't like battletech?

So I just had this game with my R60L running quad MPL, on Tourmaline, with no doubled basics.

Game got down to 4v4, then 3v4, then 1v2 where my little trash can dealt with an Executioner and an Ebon Jag

I play my urbies a lot, and i've seen many people calling it "a waste" and "useless". Most of the time I've proven the contrary, doing good damage and kills, it's fun to see their reaction when the trash can wrecks face.
Yesterday I was driving my R60L (3ML+1LPLAS+2MG), dropped on Alpine peaks, made some jokes at the beginning ("Urbie says hi", "You are all going to die"). People laugh on my Urbie. Lots of kills, top damage. Smile.
I need to start recording my urbie matches

gaming generation hates spending real money on dang near anything. It's why pirating music and movies is such big business, too.

Freely admit, without early adopter awards, probably not as great a deal, but if you can afford a rig that is halfway gameplay capable, 20 bucks once in a while should not be out of the realm of possibility.

Is why I to a small degree do wish the Urbie would stay pay only. Make owning one a sign of support. Cause it sure ain't like anyone can claim it's P2W.

Pay2Fun, perhaps, but hey, no one ever said fun had to be free.

Of course, they won't keep it that way, and in the end, I'm (mostly) fine with that.... but I wouldn't cry if they didn't.

Nope. Don't.

Best thing that can happen is anonymity. I hated it when people figured out Centurions were actually good (Closed Beta) and the same with Victors (Pre-Nerf, even if for most it was simply to abuse how broke and easy poptarting was).

Let people forever underestimate my trashcan.

I can sit back, love that I helped make them happen, remember the Countdown was fun and cool (the ones since have been pretty limp) and I get to enjoy the underrated lil booger.

some people threaten urbies, as another light trollmando. But some rly know how effective can urbies kill. In those matches, people are focusing fire on my urbie, 3,4,5 mechs, since the start of the match.
I think the power of urbie, is great hardpoints, and proper strategy (as he isnt fast as other lights). But once you choose the right build, and know your role, its devastating mech.
Deadly firepower, proper speed, and TACTICS.

Oddly enough....I'm not. I would never ***** my Urbie thus (OK, possibly not true, since the first iteration of Deputy Dawg was 3 MLs and 8 MGs), but hey, once a person pays for Urbs, it's up to them what they feel is "appropriate". There are those who decry going over 32 kph, too. Too each their own.

Nicely played though. (Now go slap a BFG on there and do it again!!!! )

Excellent job guys! The Trashcan is representing!

I have no screenshots , but I love the little guy. Best I can say is, I am still maintaining over a 1 KDR with the Special 63 and just under with the 60L :/ (which is still better than some of my mechs lol).

The 2 I use...

UM-R63 (S):
KDR 1.11
Matches 92
W/L 1.17
Avg DMG per match 194

UM-60L:
KDR 0.96
Matches 48
W/L 1.07
Avg DMG per match 244

It's weird because I do on average 50 more damage with the 60L, but have a higher KDR with the 63. I have about the same W/L.

Anyway, love the little guy and it is probably the happiest and most satisfied I have been with a mech pack.

Maybe the numbers don't sound too impressive (and it isn't the easiest mech to do well with), but it is just so freaking fun. It also spoils me because when I'm in other mechs, I keep expecting their torso to keep spinning lime the Urbie lol.

The sign of support, i guess, is the special geo R63 of the Collectors Ed. (which i own, yay).
To be true, i wasn't paying for the Collectors Edition 'til they announced the return of the Loyalty Mechs (which i didn't own, meh) and all those shiny early adopters rewards, otherwise I would not have upgraded the pack - and now I would be full of regret.

what's the loadouts? Some things splash damage faster, but don't focus, after all. It's why my 4J and 4P post bigger damage than my 4G but my 4G has the higher KDr (focused damage, fast twist)

I'll post it, although I know I will face seething hate from you, Alister, and Juodas .

The UM-63(S) is 1 ERPPC, 2 SLasers, 3 MGs with an XL170, DHS, and I think 4 JJs.

Now the real hate...
UM-60L is 3LLasers with XL170, DHS, and no JJs

I know, I'm real Urbie scum. I won't apologize for my R63(S) though, I love that thing no matter what scores I get. Besides, the ERPPC gives the arm a nice barrel effect .
