An Issue In Mwo: Legging

Right now the Fastest and single most effective way to kill a mech is to blow both legs out. well in terms of gameplay it's one of my least liked ways to win a fight. however I've been playing MW4 Mercs lately, and I realized something, when one of your legs is blown out in that game you aren't as easy to kill. and even if BOTH your legs are blown out, you don die!
To kill a mech in that game it requires you to blow out either the cockpit or the CT, I watch gameplay on like the NGNG streams and I see Legging, ALL the time. In fights where an assault should clearly win he's killed by a light who manages to avoid all the armor on this mech by aiming for the legs which had been picked apart earlier.
I propose making a change to the way leg damage works. Well blowing out a leg will still have the current speed penalties, however, once one leg is blown out, that mech's other leg will not die no matter how badly It's pounded, any hits will still count towards damage, But to kill that Mech YOU MUST KILL THE CT! However, that legged mech cannot reverse. so if it wants to walk away, it must turn around.
It's just a suggestion, But I think it will make the game a lot more fair.

In MW2 Mercs your mech could fall if you lost a leg. Using JJets would bring you back up on one leg to be able to hop.
In MW3 you would be instantly dead once your leg internal structure was gone on one leg.
In MW4 you would be limping with one leg reduced to 0 internals, but if you kept shooting that leg, your mech would still explode (lol why?).
In MWO you are limping with one leg gone.
I'd love to see you just fall over or stand immobilized when you lose both legs, or more critical effects (hip and leg actuators) instead of destruction of the mech.
BUT they said they didn't want the griefing where people just keep legging people and keeping them lying on the ground.

Sorry but removing legging is stupid. You may as well remove ammo explosions as its unfair to balistics builds...

Most mechs can mount an awful lot of armor on their legs so even if legging were to become a problem, the easy counter is to ADD more armor. If you don't like being legged, then DO NOT skimp on leg armor.
LEGGING IS NOT A PROBLEM.

I have an alternative. Now... bear with me on this. STOP STRIPPING THE LEGS OF YOUR ASSAULT MECHS!

Random note:
"A mech should fall upon destruction of first leg." Be happy it doesnt work that way in MWO.

No, it really wouldn't make it fair. What's the downside to using an XL engine? What's the downside to removing almost all leg armor?
You want people to not die to legging quickly? Get them to stop stripping their armor down to 30 points or less.
I don't know if you were there for it, but when the Victor came out, they dominated the game, and were absolutely painful to deal with. Except I always welcomed seeing more of them on the enemy team. Because all I needed to do was hit one of their legs (usually with less than 40 armor points on it), and get a lovely little ammo explosion that proceeds to kill them.
An Atlas has 84 armor on each leg, and 42 internal health. That's 126 armor on EACH leg. That's more armor than on the CT, period. Except I've seen too many assault pilots run their mechs with under 50 armor on the legs. That's still about 180 health total between the legs, so more than the CT, but it's easier to chew through than 252.
Get assault pilots to stop stripping their legs' armor, and they won't die so easily.
