Actually assault without turrets gives us a good reason to field scout mechs. Locate the enemy and use that info to win.

I agree with the random presence of turrets. Such a system would please both sides (personally I do not like turrets considering the command base is theoretically mobile....) of the turret debate. Plus it helps to add depth to the game - because the map may not be what was originally expected.

What!? No, that would please neither side. That means that none of us knows what we get if we choose Assault. I've deselected Skirmish, because I don't want it, then don't randomly give it to me in the other game modes. It's like saying you don't actually get to choose anyway.

No. They confuse 'NASCAR' and 'Base Rush' with the Pug Brainstem instinct to run to the center and shoot something. Nascars and Rushes likely emerge out of the center shuffle with out without the Coriolis Effect.

There is no confusion, and there is no base rush. In pugs only light mechs stop to cap, the rest just plays like a normal skirmish, and nascar in circles. At least with turrets the games were MUCH more enjoyable as at least in 1 mode you wouldn't have to run in big circles.

So add turrets back into assault, and add a capture-for-the-win base to skirmish, and do not allow mode selection. FixedTM

People would literally riot if PGI did that...
