I would like to eat my words.
I've still had a few of the assault games that I've lamented, the too-quick cap for no CBills, sure, but they've been fewer, and I've had some freakin' amazing assault matches.
I'm talking down to the wire, white-knuckle, edge of your seat close matches. I don't even remember the Cbills I earned in any of them, and I don't care, because they were a hell of a lot of fun. And they were mostly due to last-minute capping maneuvers after a long fight, done by severely beat to hell mechs.
Faces were melted. Headshots were taken. Legs were swept. Minds were blown.
I admit I was wrong to so quickly judge the new assault mode. Naysayers, I suggest patience. Players are adjusting to turret-less assault, new tactics are forming, and fun is being had. "GG" is being seen at the end screen more than "Scrub team". It's a new era of assault. Players have consciously made the choice to have fun, the bases have presented a new venue for creating that fun.
I'll take a few "ghost caps" once in a while for the chance at more of the hair-raising nail-biters I've played today.

I wish i had half that experience....
I can just about fall asleep in that game mode anymore...either running to cap the base or running back to try to uncap mine.
Or you sit and wait at the base and no one shows up....bad luck i guess.

You obviously weren't playing the current meta of Nascar assault
Where if your the slowest, tough luck, they ain't interested in coming back for ya, even to their own detriment as a "team"

You sir are a scholar and a gentlemen. May I suggest a nice sweet wine to go with your words as it will help to counter balance the bitterness of your previous words?
