1) Thursday night I had 3 DCs in 4 matches. But for me the weekend has dropped to 2 DCs in 20. It's getting fixed, just be patient.

2) Our friends in the Pacific Rim have been dealing with high pings since the first mech dropped. Welcome to their world. The least we can do is help populate their server for quicker wait times.

3) I admit my Raven is a bit smug, going from a 40 ping to 285. ;)

On behalf of the PACRIM players, thanks.

Oh, and you get used to 250ms ping. Can be done.

This is why I might keep it checked...

You win some Internets if you know what that is

Seriously, we Oceanic players have been on NA servers with similar pings for a long time. It takes some getting used to, but it's not that bad.

Thank you for your support!

When you have no other choice 250 ping is just something you get used to. On the OCE server I am down to 125 and hit reg is just so much better. You can actually avoid shots now and even use torso twist to more advantage.

After steam release I would like (if possible) to see even more server locations so even more people can share the experience, our NZ friends are still well over 200.

That's nice and all that you want to be ....well...nice.

I prefer to actually get to play the game I'm playing however, so long wait times and then DC aren't really what I log on for.

The ping is fine, dunno what they complain about, that doesn't really make the game any harder, try playing at low FPS and get back to me.(Which I already do, so I'm not going to add playing on a server across the world to my obstacles)

I won't be playing it after the event.

The hitreg is bad (and it's not like I don't believe how bad it is), but the instability is really what kills it.

I believe that after the event, it will be sub-50% compared to the EU servers while will be a lot more prominent.

(lag anchor sleeve for screws into concrete)

Tested the Oceania also, had an okay match (whereas my first 5 tests all failed Fri/Sat). I'll be leaving it checked to help with their queue times also.

I've not noticed this.

When the Oceanic server dropped, I was ludicrously keen to experience the real world gains of lower pings. I haven't seen that huge a difference though, between my 110-130 on Oceanic and my 230-270 on NA.

The biggest difference has been in quality of life stuff, like zoom delay.

I've even recently started dropping on the EU server, where I get 330+ ping, and that has been more than playable. I even had one of my best games on there in the group queue. There are occasional rubber banding issues, but the fascinating thing is that I still seem to get reliable hits on rubber banding mechs as long as I'm hitting them on my screen.

Maybe i'm just lucky, but my experience with hit detection lately has been fantastic.

When I started playing MWO, my ping was consistently around 155-160, so I don't mind playing with 200 ping. But right now, Oceania server is at about 430-450 ping for me, so... yeah, that's a bit much. I'd like to support the aussies, but it's just too much.

I'm in the NW of USA so I get good pings on all 3 server offerings.

I´ll also leave it checked, those guys need players on their server :)

I´m getting ~200 to Oceanic ~100 to NA and ~35 to Europe, so I can really use them all.

well the oceanic server gives me 8 ping less then US, less then I hoped going from the 230's to the 220's but it's something, gives me 2 servers to play on so I get the best of both worlds.

however I wonder how long it'll take for the americans to realise that lag shield is more of a weakness then a strength and is only a factor if your net is bad to begin with...

We had bad pings since closed beta on NA server just to keep these bad and even worse pings on Oceanic? Haven't we had enough lagshooting, nonworking HSR and those OMFGWTF-I-SHOT-THRU-HIM!!! moments? LOL, no  Unchecked it until next Pacific event (if it will be there ever after :D ). Welcome to K-Town to Euro server ^_^

I don't have an issue with the ping, it's the disconnects I can't live with.

For some reason a disconnect means having to start up MWO again. Reconnecting from the mechlab after disconnecting has never worked for me, even on the US or EU servers.

In addition, 25% of the time it throws a spanner in my whole internet connection. Meaning I need to restart my computer to get things working properly again.

I got 12 games for each game mode on Oceanic but that's it for me. Would have liked some flags but I won't bother.

I hope it's something PGI can help fix but for now I will keep Oceanic unchecked. Will retry if PGI dangles another event with nice prizes and server requirements before my nose. :)
