Word of advice, LMP: It usually works alright, but not ALWAYS. It IS possible that the person giving orders is A.) not very good at it, B.) much more try-hard than his/her PUG teammates, or C.) at least not as good at this as the orders-giver on the other team.

But USUALLY, if you're not very comfortable with the map and the mode and the mech and all that, and someone else is trying to organize, you'll be well-advised to follow lead.

Some things to look out for, to tell you that you have a Lima Delta spouting orders? Unnecessarily condescending tone, insulting the PUG players (generally, OR individually), insulting/blaming/shaming teammates post-mortem ("We'd have steamrolled if you p***y PUGs would have pushed when I told you to!"), or giving some really ridiculous advice ("PUSH WATER NAO ALL TWELVE OF US!" on Forest Colony, "Let's just wait here inside the caldera" on Caustic Valley, etc). Basically, anyone acting like your Destiny fire team leader...

(YES, cheap shot. NO, not taking it back.)

I think that goes without saying, obviously there will be people taking charge that lack the experience and skills necessary to be in charge. Out of all the matches I have played it only happened once so it's pretty rare. I would like more of the experienced pilots to at least try it more often.

well i am kinda back after long week of work for the Blood Money event

and of all the 7 matches i have played

our team won 6 while we lost 1 match as everyone rushed into the tunnel in river city

while most of the time i died early in the game as i was picked out by lights due to my slow speed

now i am getting used to calling targets and ask them to note the damage of the mechs in death using the POV from my teammates.

also some good advise is if you drop and your put in with a larger group say you drop solo and your put in with a 10 man it's best to let them lead

Usually most groups will be in Teamspeak together and usually will have someone leading the drop so the best thing to do is mostly just follow the main body of team mates and shoot what everyone is shooting at unless instructed otherwise

so far i only encounter experienced players by themselves instead of the whole team

at least now i got to speak to a few players who have mic as well

and they are pretty nice except the only match when we lost in river city

pretty much cursing saying following a Asian to losing when I am trying to help since one was shouting the tunnel is full of enemy and i was moving to assist

Since this is necro'd... I'll just mention that I'm really looking forward to a drop with you as Drop Command and will be watching for your name tonight ;)

I love this game, and from an "immersion" factor, drops with active comms are just the best.

You call the shots, I'll do my best to follow 'em!
See you on the field

Trying out a Trial mech is free so why not?
