I actually enjoyed my Dual Gauss Loki when I brought it to a 1v1. Granted, I lost horribly cuz I need to work on my long range combat (I mostly brawl, and in that match I kept hitting different components. The ecm keeps you hidden from lrm or streak builds, and if you were building a straight up dueling mech, you could drop some ammo for lasers to assist in the brawl (and yes, dual gauss can brawl, thank you very much.)

The speed would allow you to try and maintain optimal range for heavier slower opponents, out poking the heavier assault builds, and the weight advantage would allow you to try out-tanking anything faster than you. I might hafta play around with the GaussBringer a bit more, but I think it'll make a solid dueling mech.
