If by near perfect you mean getting stuck in a warp field while constantly receiving leg damage (Devs called it the the "sticky mech snydrome"), then yes, it was near perfect. I'm not a light pilot and i never will be one (i literally only use a light in CW, ever), but the recent implementation was just as broken as the ones before.

I can confirm we have "collisions." Maybe not how they USED to be...



My mech didn't fall down, but about fell out of my chair laughing after it happened.

Does no one remember the heart wrenching tale of the Commando pilot who was knocked down and literally trampled to death by his team leaving the spawn? Please no collisions. :)

The Commando's continue to be my favorite light, and collisions with knockdowns was one of their hugest advantages. It kept everyone you engaged in check while you ran circles around them and in between multiple opponents as tripping on a little guy or your friend meant you were as good as done for. It gave a consequence for having terrible awareness of your position.

Why they don't bring it back? My belief is simply because they are too lazy to design the animations for it across the 140 whatever mechs.

OK, I appreciate the September Roadmap and i'm sure we (the players) can understand the amount of work that has went into the UI /PSR/ ReBalance buuuuuuttttt.......

What about Community Warfare? I had a chance to go over some of the Town Hall but for a huge portion of the playerbase CW as it stands is how it was designed and will remain.

Is it possible for someone in the PGI staff to update us on what the future of CW will (or at least HOPE it will) look like?

September roadmap is out, and no mention of anything for CW.

It's a shame, I'm less and less interested in 10 minutes skirmishes, more and more interested in winning CW.

As expected, they focus on steam release which includes finally finishing the basic part of the game: proper MM, and a working Tutorial.

Cw will need more palyers to succeed, and stema cna bring them given they lern the game correctly before getting scared off.

To be fair, more players won't play CW even when the Steam launch is here if it continues to be as boring as it is.

If you sum it all up, CW is pretty much Assault but with 4 Respawns and other maps.

Some additional dynamics in the battles and some extra stages to each invasion would really build some depth into it.
Hopefully we will see a separate post about it before too long.
August had some fairly significant challenges to overcome which I am assuming have delayed things.

The thing is the outline or at least the hints of the changes were in the Town Hall, I'm sure Russ has a wish list of what he would like incorporated into CW. What would great is for an update on what progress has been made towards fulfilling that wish list, I feel it would go a long way to appeasing a large chunk of the vocal minority that unfortunately seem to get the most press coverage.

Basically if we know we're going to get that great lollipop (or 12 year old single malt in my case), we won't mind putting up with the boring chores for a little longer.
