Honestly, I think that the AC/5 is mediocre too. The UAC/5 however is actually decent.

I agree. It's just that AC5s are in a better spot than 10s. That's why people usually jump straight from 5s to 20s. The AC10 is a bridge weapon that is limited to short to medium ranges, with the UAC5 generally being superior for only a ton more than an AC5.

AC/5 is also good when you can't mount an AC/10, this is true.

AC/10 and its UAC/10 counterpart are both solid weapons.

And yes, LB/10x needs its ammo/ton upgraded to 20/ton.

Yes, because this game needs more weapons with bad mechanics, nevermind the AC5 is a bad weapon without significant quirks.

Feels like you are shooting AC5s when you chain fire.

Why would the cooldown stuff affect the chain fire? Chain fire's whole purpose is to protect you from ghost heat (which as I last knew triggered at less than .5 sec) so if the chain fire fires faster (trggering ghost heat because its less than that threshold) whats the point of chain fire?

ac5 is a good weapon when used in conjunction with other weapons. it can also snipe at significant range. its a nice weapon to have when your team decides to play seal warrior online. you cant really boat with it, a crab with 4 of them really isnt very good for example, however 3 of them on a bansh 3e with a few mpls is quite effective (though quirks). blackjack bj1 wears em nice though (i think it has some quirkage but its mostly quirked for ac2s). as a single gun its a usable option on some 35 ton lights.

The Banshee is the only mech that sports them well, and quirks are a large reason why. The Dragon can too, but it is more gimmicky than the Banshee. The Crab is better off with UAC5s, and if the Banshee could mount 3 UAC5s instead of 3 AC5s, it probably would.

Um... *feels like* .... you know. Yea the ghost heat is there and all. But I did write *feels like* as in to say it's like shooting AC5s, with the constant barrage of Ac10s hammering into someone's face at almost nearly every second you chain fire. I know about the heat. Just stating a *awesome/cool/kick ass feeling* you get when you can put most enemies on the back pedal is all I'm saying. Sure it's a mediocre build. Not many ppl would boat 3 Ac10s. But Meh I do and have much fun with it. *feels like* is all I'm saying. *feels like*

Yes but the AC/5 can be spammed while the AC/10 cannot be. Thats why the AC/10 sucks so bad.

AC/5 = 4 crit slots = can have 3 in same location
AC/10 = 7 crit slots = can only have 1 in same location

Because the AC/10 cant be spammed easily, a single AC/10 needs to feel more like a "main weapon" just like a single AC/20 does. The AC/10 needs a significantly increased rate of fire to make up for its lack of spammability. Its rate of fire should be changed from 2.5 to 2.2 (13.6% faster rate of fire)
