1) My farmin' Protector for the pub queue

Long Range (3x ERLs, 1x Gauss, Protector quirks)
Fast for positioning at optimal range
Manuverable and good torso twist when you get bushwhacked at close range
Heat efficient so you can go heavy on the ERLs for quite awhile

This mech doesn't tickle... it does sustainable 42 point volleys out to 750m, so you can usually outgun any mech you meet.

I regularly get 1000 damamge games with it. (again in the pub queue)

Don't get shot in the back ;)

Edit: Forgot, you are in a good engine range, you can shave off armor in 1/2 ton increments for bigger engines. I choose not to because of my elo . (eg: If I have 40 point armor on the legs, someone will notice and F me up)

I also rarely use more than 20 gauss rounds on the average match, so you can also consider this loadout if you're satisfied with a lower match damage potential when you get those occasional "congratulations, the match maker has chosen you to pwn this match" games.

2) My farmin' Cheetah (I have an invasion variant of this)

Respectable damage for back stabbing but also the range to tag multiple mechs for assists (1x CERPPC, 3x ERSmL)

It's a cheetah, it's fast, ECM'd and can dodge like a mofo when you learn to micro jet properly
It is also incredibly fun and less risky (again in the pug queue) than the Small Pulse meta version.

*****************************************************************
Getting 500 damage games with many assists is pretty easy in both of these mechs.
So both are capable of making 150K Cbills regularly every 7-10 minute battle. (I'm counting the 30% bonus in this)
