well I was curious as literally their plans for CW were why I bought into the game in the first place so I guess Ill just hold out hope that some day it becomes less ******

A little too much tinfoil but who knows. For all the bitching we did every time CW was pushed back, I think PGI is surprised at how the community failed to form up now that we finally have it. Seems like unit formation isn't happening and there are lots of solos running around getting rekt. There is a certain resistance to unit play and not climbing the CW learning curve. Either way, it probably falls on PGI's half complete implementation.

the dropdeck game mode should be a playing option just like any other for pugs.

I dont feel any need to participate in a fake persistent universe nor do i want to.

I WOULD like to play dropdeck mode from time to time..

I havent in months because.. well u know

Still I must reiterate that nobody in the forums are the authority on how CW should be played besides PGI. The low population is on PGI. The unpopularity of CW is the result of multiple issues combined. There is no community driven solution to be had.

Wasn't that the whole point of CW? Where the **** have you been and how do you have 10,000 posts and not know that would happen?

Cause Ive been out of the game naively hoping it would become a real game mode and not just a meatgrinder

Despite being a black knight, I reserve some small shred if hope this game will actually be good some day

Most of what we are waiting for are persistent universe features to make the map mean something. I don't see how PGI can take the meatgrinder out of MWO. Better matches can be had with more pop and a basic MM. There are always going to be metabuilds, better players, and people that incorrectly think they can run around in horrible snowflake builds or stock mechs. Gid gud or leave is what we have now.

There has to be some kind of MM though. MM is not the be all end all though, even in the 12s queue, some units can 50-0 or even 100-0 the queue. Since CW has such small buckets, the 80th, 90th percentiles are just roflstomping everyone out of the game mode over and over.

Making CW the backbone of this game when so few are interested in competition level play is what has broken the back of this game. PvE should have been done before CW. You at least would have had something for the casual weekend/occasional player to really enjoy and supported monetarily with content dlcs and campaigns.

But this is what we are stuck with and all i have to take pleasure in till 2016 where PvE is slated is the map upgrades.

BTW forest colony looks amazing and may be close to triple in size. Possibly bigger than every map save for Alpine. If so way to get this one right PGI.

didnt say that. Said (and I didnt think this would be that hard to follow as we were already talking about CW) they need to take the meatgrinder out of CW (as in dropping new pugs against comp level 12 mans). If you dont do that CW will just wither and die

Until 4x4 is added PGI needs to get quick incentive to play CW back with another event. Simplest and quickest way to boost numbers. Also the 30 match points and bonus item is another great incentive to play CW since it's not hard to attain and even if you side is rolled you end up with something for your time and effort. I'm temped to say CW should always give the 30 match points and bonus item ( even the random roll thing was fun ) always. This would set CW apart from regular queue and give reasons for even pugs to play and feel like they are earning something for their efforts. Competitive teams will ways dominate this arena and that is fine. There just needs to be some rewards in place to keep the other players coming back.
