Give intense armor and structure quirks to Assault mechs. Make it dynamic with the number of weapons mounted based on hard points available. Give an unarmed Atlas double the current armor and structure. If the Atlas is using 50% of its available hard points, then that number drops to 1.5 times instead of double. If the Atlas uses 100% of its available hard points, then that number is back to the original base amount. Make the Hunchback chassis unique by giving it this ability as well (being a Medium known for having tough armor).

assaults already have a unique ability: not being able to walk up hills
why you want to give them more special stuff

Simple fix for this: Add Shields, Hardened armor, Armor patches and give Ferro Fibrous an armor bonus.

Mostly trying to keep this looking like lore from the outside. But it's just a lore shell, everything else is for gameplay.
