+ (almost) Totally customizable mechs
+ gameplay mechanics
+ graphics
+ overall weaponry and chassis balance
+ As a MMO: low grind, no tedious infinite RPG levels, no c-bills losses (like crappy WoT system), no P2W weapons or variants (clan pay to early access should not be considered P2W.)
+ regional servers

- Maps. Some maps are really really bad. More than the good ones. also often random-luck on having the best build for that map > skill.
- Matchmaker. Slowest i ever seen. 12-0 0-12 matches with too much skill gap. Solo-Q should play against solo-Q only. dont know if this got changed.
- with 2-3 exceptions, hero mechs are deliberately worse (P2W whiners did this) than many non-hero variants.
- No prem time toggle. well mostly MMOs havent this feature too, but PGI fair (or not?) economy could afford that.
- Some Rock Scissor Paper builds. Streakcrows/Streakdogs against lights and most mediums.

The good? Mechwarrior game.

The bad? Paul, maybe.

Best part of MWO? The 'Mechs. Not so much the size scaling, but everything else about them looks/feels *cool*.

Worst part of MWO? Two things, tied for last place: quirks and consumables, especially the air/artillery strikes.

The best part?

The models. While some people gripe here and there, compared to the rough sketches that you see when you look at Sarna, these 'Mechs look f*cking amazing. It's certainly not perfect, but it really does have a nice feel to it.

The worst part?

The heat system. Holy f*ck guys. Fixing the heat system would turn this game around for me. It would make these rediculous laservomit builds finally stop. The lore had it right. True doubles, heat cap of 30, no ghost heat, high penalties for running hot consistently.

Fix that, and so much in this game changes. I would pay a LOT of money to get that changed. If I had any, that is.

BEST: let's take one not commonly viewed as a positive, the randomness of the PUG. I never know if my team will be made up of newbs or veterans, so you always have to adjust your play style and work with what you have. Keeps it exciting.

WORST: hmmm... All the best stinkers are taken (new player experience FAIL, etc) So... Need a ballistic weapon between 2-4 tons. Frack lore. Just give me a viable ballistic weapon under 4tons!! :-)

Best?

Its Mechwarrior, and its free.

Worst?

Racetrack maps.
Game balance between Clan/IS in general
Economy.
Lagshield Lights

The good: Generally fun gameplay, mechs, etc.

The bad: lots of basic features aren't in the game. Basically convenience things.

the good - core mechanics provide a nice base to build on. Pretty graphics, changes are slow but getting there.

the bad - forever slowness to implement balance changes (ECM, LRMs, Quirks, Weapons in general). Lore, atmosphere of the game. Little connection to why each house has meaning unless you're a previous battletech fan. No objectives to not murderball all the time/no reason to split up. no repair and rearm/logistics for CW.
