I know this has been talked about over and over again, but since this is important (imho) I'll start a new thread.
I think the website should be kept up to date way better.
Section "game":
-current year is 2014. Well no.
-Tutorial Vids use old Mechlab.
-Missing Mechs/Heroes in "BattleMechs" not a single ClanMech there.
-Gamemodes lists only "conquest"
-Missing Maps/old RC
Section "media":
-missing all that instagram stuff!
On homepage add something like "tweets from the DEVs" where all tweets from PGI staff regarding MWO would be bundled.
When someone is interested in this game this is website is your first chance to impress him. Draw him in.
I like the faction/clan fluff added, good thing the Patchnotes are up to date.

yes someone should work on mwomercs and bring it up to date. It's the official main source of information but its mostly empty and missing a lot stuff, gamemods, as you mentioned, media sections is nearly empty. evrry devlog should eb listed there, all the small vids tino is putting on instagrma should eb there. all the clanwave previews and concept arts should be THERE.
it is a really incomplete place here, and given this is the first thing people go to to know more about the game, its a sad picture given.

It is possible to fix the forumsand everything in MWO but the DEVS have let so much go lately from the official forums to communication with there players and fans to the game itself being so redundant and repetitive game play no social interaction it truly sucks to even play MWO anymore.

It's like they had a community manager who hadn't gotten around to having that done before she went on vacation!
This is a good point, but Tina is on vacation right now, so you might not see immediate response from her. =)

I don't think she's the one in charge of updating the website. Not sure PGI even has a webdev team, to be honest.

I think she should be the one coordinating community interaction via the forums, though. Could be wrong.

But Tina could bring this up to PGI and then they can tell someone (whoever is in charge for this) to do it.

Maybe they are doing a redesign and don't want to make changes in two places? I run dozens of websites and this is common practice.

I would agree with you, but those sections haven't updated since open beta? Maybe a little after?
Then again, it could be that PGI just has one dude/dudette working on the new layout, 10 minutes a day.
