I sure hope not. I hope that I rise up only as high as being able to exclude top players. Then again, I don't think Tier 1 players should see anything below Tier 2. You don't belong any more than a Tier 5 does with Tier 3.

The only groups Tier 1 won't face are Tier 4 and 5, they said so plain as day in the notes.

Plenty of tier 2 players are about tier 1 skill but level bad mechs or haven't been tier 1 long enough to drag up their prior lower tier performance. They absolutely will drop with/against tier 5.

Do we have actual confirmation of this? The patch notes did not say it explicitly and while you are likely right, I don't want to spread unconfirmed info.
