New Cockpit Glass

The new cockpit glass is little more than a blurry green tinge towards the edge of the glass, similar to the blue strip on the windshield of a car. It doesn't seem responsive to the lighting conditions of the map or your angle to the sun, and it has some persistent banding rather than a smooth gradient. I tried multiple video settings and nothing really seemed to improve the look of it.
I'm sure it's less of a performance hit for low spec users, but personally I find it reduces visibility way more than the previous incarnation. If you have changed your FOV to give you a broader view, you'll be seeing a ton of dark green when unzoomed.
Rather than the new style, I would have preferred a less intrusive version of the previous cockpit glass. The overall look was nice and immersive, but having it a bit more subtle to maintain visibility would have been perfect. Maybe a little bit of frost crystals or dust on the bottom corners of the glass for snow/desert maps if you were feeling fancy.
Right now I will happily disable it though, which is a shame because adds a lot of immersion when you can leave it on.

I don't even understan why , they gave it this Green glare , and why so much of it ...it doesn't look good in my eyes, and I feel like my field of view is being narrowed down to tunnel vision.
and I don't want to disable it , because I love the realistic feeling of having some cockpit glass effects in game ... even when they blinding me a bit with the sun.... its just so more realistic.

Seriously, old cockpit glass looked better. Just turn down the opacity and the glare, and it would have been fine. This new cockpit glass is brutal for visibility.

Usually I'm on your side. This however, is not a positive change IMO. It was better before, and could easily be better still.

Please revert. Or remove altogether till a better implementation is possible.

On some mechs it was never a problem. On other mechs, certain maps would cause massive amounts of glare. It's possible that video card driver settings or something else was contributing, but I know that my Ebon Jags on Canyon Network were extremely hard to use with the original cockpit glass, there was a ton of glare around the entire canopy making it very hard to see. Obviously can't take a screenshot now to demonstrate.

Just like you embrace other people having their own opinions and preferences, right? You do realize this is a feedback section, correct? So posting anything in this section telling people not to give feedback is actually counter to what the devs even have this section of the site for? Yeah...good job there sparky.

I rather liked the way that, under the old system, some mechs had fairly "clean" glass whereas others were all scratched and dirty-looking. It was (for me) another little thing that helped make different mechs feel separate.
While I'm not sure I like the new glass texture, I definitely don't like the colour tint -- especially on the snow maps, which make it *really* obvious.
Not exactly a "fix it nao!" issue, as there's a simple workaround, but if it's simple to do, could you consider adding the option to at least remove the colour tint? Otherwise for me at least, it feels like driving around in a car that someone's inexpertly fitted crap window film to!

So cockpit glass isn't all bad, it's just too strong on some of the mechs

If it's the devs trying to balance some of the mechs with good field of view, I don't recommend that approach since it's easily avoided by switching the glass back off. Hope that's not the case because mixing customizable aesthetics with any balancing mechanisms will be problematic.
