I need some help from the more tech minded side of this site specifically regarding CPU's, I have an AMD 8750 BE (with Windows 10 64 installed for OS) that i have clocked up to 2.7 ghz but recently i've been seeing this jump up to 2.8 ghz from time to time and am very worried if my old chip is starting to fail, I use CPUID HWMonitor.

Do you have screen shots of CPUID before and after the variation?
EDIT afterthoughts:
Reason for asking is, I'm curious what the multiplier/fsb is doing. I'm also assuming that the BIOS is showing 2.7ghz?

Sadly I do not have the before and after didn't think to take the screenshot's, but for the clock of the cpu I used only the multiplier, but I can give this http://s205.photobuc...0STATS.jpg.html the cpu and aux max temps bug out and go much higher than the real max temps.
EDIT: not sure if the link I gave will work http://i205.photobuc.../PC%20STATS.jpg

ooh nice thanks! Sorry for the long wait, I was looking up the mobo and the processor. AMD's version of Turbo didn't come out until the AM3 socket which would leave this out, and this board wouldn't support it. If it jumps to 2800 the multiplier would be bumping up to 14. The only thing that comes to mind that has control over the multiplier is AMD cool n' quiet. You could disable that, ensure the multiplier is 13.5 in the bios and see what happens.
Edit: Had to re-familiarize myself with the AMD family lol, I haven't ran one since the Athlon 64 3000+
Another thing I would try to do is use Core Temp (which works for Phenom chips), or Aida 64 (awesome program, kinda like HW Monitor - but the logging is great) to even log the core frequency & Multiplier, they should read the exact same information as CPUID is reading.

I took a look at my mobo's C&Q setting and it was set to auto so I disabled it so far it's looking like it wasn't even active in the first place, and I'll take a look at Aida 64 the extreme one since it has extreme in the name heh. Thanks for taking taking me seriously.

Oh you're welcome.
Hmm so Cool N Quiet was set to Auto, and the multi was set to 13.5... Some boards handle the cool n quiet differently when you overclock. I'm hoping that it was just CnQ messing with the multiplier. I've overclocked for years, and I've never seen a multiplier go up, down sure but up, unless of course it had a turbo mode etc lol.
Could also go to http://forum.overclock3d.net/ post it there and see if anyone else is familiar with something like that.

I'll update if it happens again but so far things seem ok after turning off cool n quiet.
