They should just wipe PSR/ELO and force 3/3/3/3 that would be tons better.

Just got stomped by a 12 man 12-0. That's it for me tonight. 4 hours of game play and I won 4 matches. Not happy.

Looks like a fun forecast of doom-and-gloom for today.

Geeeeeezus people, give it at least a few days if not a week or so to let it settle out. No-one ever said it was going to perfectly balance games or mean there's going to be no stomps whatsoever. I've seen a few stomps so far but I've also seen a lot more balanced games.

And I find it very hard to believe it could be any worse than before.

As a newb I love it, I had only 3 kills and survived only one game before the patch. Now I find I'm in games where people are as bad as me and am racking up the C-bills yo.

So far most of my matches were pretty good today. Had maybe 2-3 4 minute stomps but those were rare. Actually had people using the ingame voip, coordinating pushes. Quite a few like that. Some were losses, some were wins. But a lot more fun. Would be interesting to know what the tier was...

I have a feeling PGI didn't really put past stats into consideration and threw everybody into Tier 5, but that's just my opinion, man.

I just played 5 games in the group que, they were all pretty much stomps.

Good thing I was on the winning team in all of them.

Unless this game gets a much larger player base, there is really no matchmaking system they could use that would be fair. Even if we did have enough players to make the teams exactly even, stomps would still happen. All it takes is for one team to make a couple of mistakes and get down 2-3 mechs and the other team will just roll over them.

they are just fairly balanced stomps as compared to random stomps; that's how we make sense of spending all that time in having a matchmaker in the first place (lol)

After a few hours playing I've noticed it even out a bit more, I've had some really great matches win and loss tonight.

Well I played 10 matches with my normal account, and players seemed to work together, almost everyone popped a UAV when needed, focus fired and moved as a unit.

I switched to my alt account where I haven't played at all for a year, people were grouped up in choke points trying to shoot through each other, no UAV's, spread out counter clockwise rotation with roamers charging into the open, and even people playing in 3pv who didn't know how to back their mech up.

I'd say it's working.

so old stats are still screwing up the new system

gonna take a while to balance out

If you stick with your lance, get assists, do things like NARC/TAG run BAP use UAV's to spot(all added to the match score) and get a kill shot maybe a savior kill and spotting assists you will have no problem getting a 100 match score every game. I just ran a RVN-2X with a L Pulse and 3 Medium with BAP only did like 180 dmg but got a bunch of assist, and my BAP was working on all the ECM as well as a good UAV....112 match score.

IF you know how to play the game already you will rise, if you dont you will have a bad time and fall in the tiers. I for one am very happy for this change....first match was a 12-5 brawl for about 5 mins....right on par.

Only your OLD stats from this year...starting at jan 2015. So unless you just got good i dont think thats gonna be and issue. Seeing as how you have been here since 2012 they are not using those stats.

I dont think PSR will save you from being stomped by a better team....thats the nature of the game. But i would like to know the skill gap between the Worst Tier 1's and the best ones. I'd also like to know whats the biggest Tier? Will the majority be tier 1? tier 2 or 3? lots of questions still but lets give it a few days to see how it pans out. I dont think anywhere in the patch notes it said this would be an instant improvement.

Time to level out my ass. I quit CW and went to pug drops to have fun. Now that's been trashed. There is no strategy in the drops I've been in, it's just everybody run in circles and hope they shoot your teammates before they shoot you. Push push push. Never take a defensive position even when it is the best move. It's like battlefield 4 all over again, just a tad slower.

I have a fairly large clan. With all types of capability and SKILL.
And for us it is so: That the bad players (estimate level 5 and 4) experience now twice as many Stomps as previously.
And our world class player (estimate level 3, 2 or 1) have now Matches where the 15 minutes are not enough and in the end a lot of games: Stands to 9 to 7.
I would say: This Game (MWO) because of its mechanisms when many Bad/unskillt players coming together, it will end frequently to STOMP.

This is our experience since Patch.

the thing is, im getting droped with bad players only, the enemy is always good team. You think this is good matchmaking ? putting me always to bad team , since beggining ? I never droped with the melting team, an I should at least somtimes in the beggining should I ? Its not sorted out yet you said.

I personaly think nobody here have an idea, how its working atm. and thats all. Im curious, if i get normal matches in 1 week.

This has nothing to do with "balance".

You should look at final match score, if everybody did something, or...if, in your team, everybody was there to be *****.
