No surprise, they even mentioned it as known issue in the patch notes.

And the branches are floating near the trees instead of being attached, at least at lower settings. Which is weird looking to say the least.

Forest Colony: Static DropShips are visible in all game modes in this map

Hah must have missed that. That's going to be awkward for a while for anyone doing anything machinima related.

If you read the patch notes https://mwomercs.com...-1430-18aug2015 its a known issue.

Known Issues in this patch

  • Players using the original Team Speak 3 Overlay will experience crashes when attempting to use the overlay. Unfortunately, the original TS Overlay plugin is no longer supported by TeamSpeak. Players are advised to un-install the plugin and switch to the Overwolf overlay that is bundled with every TS install.
  • The 'Mech portrait hover-over window will not appear if you have Disabled Tool Tips in your Settings > Game menu
  • Standard Engines do not display the 'STD' indicator inside the 'Mech Stats and the hover-over window 'quick-info' sections
  • 'Mech portraits may appear blurry if the client was running below 1080p resolution when the portrait was saved
  • Forest Colony: Shadows may flicker at a distance
  • Forest Colony: Static DropShips are visible in all game modes in this maphttps://mwomercs.com...-1430-18aug2015

Yeah, I noticed that as well, the floating drop ships is something PGI mentioned in the patch notes as a glitch and will be fixed.
The dis-connected tree limbs only really shows when you have your visual settings set to low, when you set them to higher settings they appear more connected.

All in all I love the new map, as soon as I got home and was done downloading the patch I jumped right into the new map to check it out. My first impression? I must admit I was intimidated a bit and completely blown away. I spent over an hour hiking through the woods checking it out. There were several places where there were what I would call "tree houses" and the first thing that popped into my head was Endor from Star Wars.

The map is just stunning, the map team out done them selves and deserve a special card so they can have unlimited access to the taps in the PGI bar room.
No joke, half the time I expected to see Deer walking across the roads.

PGI, when are the colonists coming back? Cause I'd like to buy a plot of land and build a house in there and work by offering my mechwarrior services as a guard to keep pirates and other riffraff away.

Yup, one of the first things I noticed when going towards the water.

In a very close game a team mate got distracted by that ship in thermal vision when hunting a Spider. That distraction cost him his leg, then his life. :D
