Hello I recently bought all the panthers and I have been enjoying them quite a bit. They are a fun, funky and decent mech (although they may be a little large),but this this question goes out to all panther pilots, and it is simple. What do you use on your panther 9R? And for that matter on all the others?

My 9R has had quite a fluctuation of builds, from dual PPC, PPC 3 meds, LPL 3 MPL, 4 MPL 1 SRM 4. It has had quite a journey, and I like all those builds, but none seem to be THE ONE.
My favorite of the ones suggested above are the LPL 3 MPL, and the PPC 3 meds (good blend of close and long range firepower)

My 8Z has stayed strong with one build and that is 2 large lasers and 2 SRM 2's. Pretty simple, and one of the funnest mechs I have.

And the 10P is the odd one out... I personally use a UAC5 with a backup SRM 4, It Is IMHO subpar, and I cant find a build that really shines

(How do you link smurfy? I cant figure out how) :P

Please post your Panther builds, and any feedback is appreciated.

PNT-10K - Bit of an oddball config, but it's fun and you just don't see too many 'Mechs in the light bracket with three completely different weapon systems. Or the alternate config I don't use anymore, which made more sense but I had less fun in.

PNT-8Z - Micro-brawler. Less useful since SRM hitreg went to ****, but still solid.

PNT-9R - More same. I know you said you tried MPL/SRM builds and got rid of them, but this has been my most successful Panther. One of my most consistent performers in general, actually.

PNT-10P - AC10 for the lulz. No, I didn't forget to mount DHS. That was deliberate. Forget viability- the 10P exists for shits and giggles. Embrace the crazy and you'll get way more mileage out of it.

PNT-9R

It runs hot, I admit. But it's a nice start, and will probably earn its Double Heat Sinks, if you can poke with it well. Gotta stick with the pack though.

I found the PPC quirks on the 9R to just not be worth it. I tried it with a PPC, 3xSPL, and an SRM4; just didn't work very well for me. Swapped the PPC for a LPL, and it was smooth sailing.

I love the 9R, I have two. The first is pretty conventional 2PPC build (note smaller engine actually allows you better heat management). But this is my baby. Look at the quirks, it's essentially as RVN-2X but with 1-2 JJs (can up the engine to a 235 and drop a JJ) at the cost of having all the LLs in one arm and a little lower. It's become one of my favorite PUGging mechs. Feels like a mini-WVR-6K or ENF-4R (also faves of mine).

"Borrowing" this. The PPC build with the smaller engine and extra 1.4HS is a nice common-sense move. The Panther's not gonna win any track meets anyway, and this fits the Panther's schtick.

Good observation on the LL build too. Just a tiny bit faster than the medium laser boats, which is fine for staying with the pack and concentrating fire and armor. Noice

10/10 would "borrow" from Terciel again.
