It is entirely likely to get a stomp in one direction or the other with 2 perfectly balanced teams. Not saying that a big imbalance can't happen or be the cause, but think about it; if two teams are equal in skill and tonnage and one team loses a player - all of a sudden the balance goes way out of skew and can quickly snowball. This means that it is very possible, maybe even likely, that a stomp happens even if the two sides are of equal skill and tonnage.
Just because a stomp happens does not mean PSR/matchmaker/ELO/whatever is messing up.

Also: stomps are not always real stomps. Sometimes the winning team is actually extremely broken and close to collapsing itself.

Granted but I have seen massive differences in damage done. Now it may all just settle down and I am going to play tonight but at the moment it isn't better than previous and in some cases worse
I still think that it may be that we are putting some higher Tier players with lower tier players because everyone should get to play so I believe we should now be able to see the tiers for each player or at least how many in each tier for each match

In terms of close games, a few were close but most were pretty one-sided. I got multiple games in a row where I was doing top damage on my team in a Shadow Cat -- 600+ and a couple of kills -- over and over, even when we lost! I think I'm going to be moving up from my current tier, whatever it is currently

I'm sure things will settle down slightly once people settle into their correct tiers.

nice thats it working for you. it is not for others. I also have rediculously long queue times, like mickey does. The group in my EU afternoon is unplayable with 10+ minute searchers, only to find the same guys again on the teams.

My problem isn't the queues, but the amount of ROFLstomps I experience. About 60% right now. With only 10% of that being a win for me. The remaining 40% is split 20/20% between loss and victory.
So my win percentage has been garbage, but I get in match quickly! Lucky lucky me! If you have a better victory percentage of closer matches, you're fareing better. I know I'm spiralling my way down to an appropriate elo for I am so very often the low scorer on Conquest, and a medium to high scorer on Assault.

90% of statistics used in conversations are made up on the spot, including this one.
Also: there is no Elo anymore. Read the patch notes for more information on how stuff works now.

Elo, PSR. same bloody thing. A skill ranking. They are interchangable terms at this point.

last night and the night before with 4 people it went to almost an hour a couple times. We tried different weights and with different leaders every 15 mins or so.
When we were 8-12 man the times were 5 mins adv. But at 3-5 man it was hella long.
We were watching groups that were streaming, and they were getting 5 to 6 matches in the same time we were getting one.
(and we had everything selected for modes and servers)
We were talking to some other groups who were getting long times also.

Before PSR, instant kills were rare. Now I see them more often even if you are driving one of the Clan Mechs.
I was in an Ebon on HPG with fresh armor, some enemy saw me and got me in one shot. Never happened before this new system and everyone being lumped into one Tier.
Part of why I am waiting out while people get sorted.
Also shows anyone complaining TTK needs to improve or nerfs need to stop should just go complain somewhere else.

Ah. Group queue. Yeah. All bets are off then because those 5+ groups mess up the works and arent even close to PSR balanced.
