Oh well..... was kinda hoping they'd get working on those a bit sooner but from the look of things, probably won't see them for a good 7-8 months.

That's because the people that are going to work on the mech rescalling are the same ones working on new mech releases.
If you listened to the vlog, they specify "once resistance 2 and IIC mechs are out".
