Hey look; you can still buy gold mechs and theyre still $500
If that price was IGP's fault then um why is it still $500?
Youd think if that deal was all IGP's fault then theyd have killed that sale or brought it to a reasonable amount.
...unless it wasnt IGP's fault after all

There is no gameplay advantage whatsoever to owning one. Just dont buy one.

That's all there is to gold mechs.
It is to support the game, therefor gold'mechs can even "cost" 2k each, i wouldn't mind it.

There is nothing you lose to not owning one. What they could do is unbundling them from the 240$ package, it would probably make some more people buy them.
But with steam release comes the need of some owning a lot mechs, so probably this will icnrease their sales as well.
However if they don't visually ruin the NVA with its rescale I probably buy an golden adder.

Could you imagine the screaming that would come from the people that shelled out the $500 if the price got reduced?

I "shelled out" up to 60$ for 3 mechs which are now "for free" ingame.
28 mechs for 500$ isn't that bad of a deal, even if it's 260$ more expensive then the 24 mechs for 240$.

Its about marketing.
Its just cash sitting there to be raked in by PGI.

By that argument anyone that bought a hero mech for full price should be screaming when theres a sale on them?

I doubt so many would buy it if the pack changes form 500$ ot 470$. there won't be some 50% drops in the package prize due to the entire package involvng so many mechs. And one who has 470 would also pay the 500.
For me form Eu $ - € course has more impact on the price than those sales.
can't wait for the next US houshold we are broken debattes pushign the $ value down

First time they went on sale there was a chunk of screaming from those who had bought them, and that was for something 16 times cheaper which wasn't pitched as being uber-exclusive.
Not saying it won't happen or that it can't happen, just that it would be a right pain in the arse from a community side if it did happen and when you have $200,000 of sales, minimum, (8 options, $500 each, the warning happens at 'less than 50'. No clue what the total available was) and the lose of faith (stop giggling!) in the balance it's going to take quite a bit for it to be worth it. (and that's before you include anyone trying a Lolsuit about it)
