Hi,

The lacking variety between different planets especially in CW is what many people complain about. It's easily remedied.

Use the environment do differentiate planets from each other. Do not only make it 20 °C instead of 10° C, but use drastic temperatures, rendering energy weapons more invalid. Use atmospheric phenomena like wind or storms to impair movement, use blizzards to impair electronics (and maybe PPCs), use gravity to vary movement. But do it in way that it makes a difference, not like 10 -> 20 °C, but maybe 120 °C.

There are certain small aspects that are present in normal maps: Sound in HPG (turn environmental off completely, only hearing impacts on your own mech), heat in Mordor (when walking over Lava) - but do more extreme stuff: High gravitation, extreme storms that stray off projectiles and so on.

It's all a set of random parameters that is easily adjustable for the planets.

An additional bonus: It makes one-trick META less prevalent when for example laser vomit won't work on some random environments.

edit:
Or make avalanches in Alpine-Peaks-like maps change the landscape mid-match.
