Hello my fellow mechwarriors once more you are put to the task of evaluateing another one of my ideas today we are looking at a Variant of the Centurion battle mech.

A short history of this mech: The Centurion was originally designed to compliment the Trebuchet fire support BattleMech. To allow the Centurion to perform this duty, it was equipped with a heavy and varied arsenal that allows it to strike at enemy units at a variety of ranges.

In keeping with the sprit of this battlemech role on the battle field I wanted to make a meaty foward observer and still have the enough fire power to stick it out in a fire fight if it had to.

(This variant of the Centurion is inspired by the CN9-D and uses the same engine and chassis). The 'Mech uses MASC to allow it bursts of speed reaching up to 129.6 kph. The 'Mechs primary weapon is a AC10 This is backed up by Two SRM'6 and one med laser. This will leave a few tons free for armor and more ammo. The 'Mech uses a targeting computer and C3 slave unit to allow it to share targeting data with its lance mates.

The Build may seem a little light on firepower but the idea of this mech is not to be a 100% brawler but used more like a foward observer that can act as a QRF (quick reaction force) to get to battle field hot spots in a hurry lend its support then head off to support the next hot spot.

Lovely. Write it up and throw it on solaris7.com. We&'re quite a long way from seeing targeting computers or C3 in MWO I'm afraid.

A very nice Centurion model. I was really confused, and I looked on the Maser Unit List for like 5 minutes going "I know there isn't a CN9-D6! But theres a D5? What is this black magic!?"

Afraid we won't be able to see it for a while though, only the CNT9-D and below fit the time frame.
