But seriously you need 30 match score to qualify, I havent seen a game less than 200 even on a loss is this a bug or what

No, it's just the new Match Score formula.


Future events will have a larger qualifier, but this one is somehow even easier than earlier events.

PGI raised average match scores due to new formula but didn't raise scoring threshold for part 2 of Oceanic Takeover challenge.

I just want to know how they'll set the bar on future tournaments with respect to match score minimums.

Not a fan of the new scoring system, especially when your on a team that has no idea what they are doing.

how does that differ from the old system?

in the old system you would lose and your elo drop.
in the new, if oyu can do well amongst those bad teams, you may actually not drop in your skillrating at all.

I don't know what it is but before this last patch using a Timber Wolf with LRM15 and 6 cmedpl I would normally score 600-1000 damage and 2-3 kills and now I can't get a lock on anything and my score is barely 150 with maybe a kill. This game just doesn't play the same. Every team I get on sucks. no one stays together so you can't get any team points.

haha, it seems it's vice versa, it's you suck and was placed too high in the rating, so your lrm-15 don't work anymore... and it's you are the liability for your team, not they for you; i saw two different 'team guys' today (in just 5 games), they told lots of crap about how we need teamwork blah blah blah, one died with less than 30 damage done (in a warhawk, none less), another with less than 60
