The only Pay to Win mech right now is the Urbanmech.

The point is that if you wait for it to be released later, the "advantages" might have already been fixed. Granted it's bug fixing, a little play testing should've made it obvious that the hitbox is wonky before the mech was released in the first place.

To say this now is to end most threads in reality:

A new, unknown quirk system is going to be in place within a couple months here.

All threads after july are now pointless in my opinion as there is now no way to actually know If a mech is going to be buffed/nerfed, as PGI has decline to explain what this new system is, which, in a way, is good.

Sorry to pop your bubble OP, I'm just going by facts, not opinions, but feel free to discuss this topic as you wish with that in mind

When I bought the Ember in 2013, it was OP for many months. When I bought the Dragon Slayer in 2013, it was OP for many months. Now they are not, but at the time of their release, they were. Same deal with the Wave I Invasion Clan mechs, before all the nerfs.

So OP does have a point, albeit bit exaggerated.

Seriously, am i the only one who loves the humanoid legs on the Jenner?

The only problem i have is its animations, that is, i wish when running it would put its feet more under the mech instead of spread apart so widely. (But that goes for A LOT of mechs.)

also when team blue paid to win, does it also mean team red is in status pay 2 lose. But when as you said both teams have them, then both paid to lose.

Well theres a quote that Im trying to find the source for from Paul (as I remember) where in an interview around the time ECM came into the game he'd said something like

when everyone takes a mech or a piece of equipment, I dont see that as OP, I see it as a good equipment or mech.

Which should explain a lot of things really

Game costs time or money, pick one. Don't rant that it's P2W because only trolls insist it is at this stage. Paywalls notwithstanding, everything will be free eventually. Can't wait? Pony up.

Plus EVERYONE knows the only REAL pay to win mech in this game is the Urbanmech.

This might not be PGI's intent, but it seems like they repeatedly released these lights with wonky HitReg or faulty Hitboxes for real live money.

People who purchased them, had an extreme advantage over any others. To me, this is P2W in a F2P game that claims money can't buy better stuff over C-Bills items.

Then, those mechs either get corrected / nerfed or first release for C-Bills and then corrected / nerfed.

For now, this community has shown what's wrong with each mech released (some members even had video and extensive screenshot sequences to illustrate the issue).

I fear that, if releasing more light mechs as OP as these are, for real money... come Steam age there will be a great deal of bad reviews on a supposed to be F2P game.

PGI, have the users test out newly released mechs on a test server.
Hell, select just a few users if you want to, but make sure that the mechs are tested accordingly, because we all know **** happens, but when it happens too often, people get suspicious.

Edit - I pilot light mechs and even bought Firestarters but only when they got corrected. Just a FYI.

And at the same time, PGI has released Mechs that were "severely underperforming" -- to put things ever so mildly. And yet, the whine about them -- if any -- is almost always drowned out by the whine against the great performers.

Hmm. I wonder why things are so one sided.
