Wave Iii Pack

I know the mechs in the pack sure do seem godly when the pilot behind the glass isn't a potato, and I've been looking to expand my clan arsenal but would never be able to grind enough for it.
TL,DR: How is the Wave III pack?

How fast does MASC get you going anyway? I don't have any experience with it.

The EBJ is a conundrum to me. It has a wide variety of hardpoints in funky locations. I treated this mech like a Catapult had a radio active love child with a Cataphract. There are no lower arm actuators so you have to aim with your torso. Once leveled its pretty nasty and there is plenty of room for a variety of load outs.
The Executioner is fantastic. Before putting any load outs on it remember to max out your armor. It has some great high mounted torso hard points but struggles with low mounted arm hardpoints. The early adopter variant has the missle hardpoints in the arm which is nice. It also has an additional torso mounted energy hardpoint. These aren't available for cbills yet. MASC and JJ's take up a lot of crit space and tonnage which slightly limits the mech. However, these features also make it a good mech to use in a flank or turn heads from cover. Haven't had any time with ACH yet.

-Arctic cheetah : Invalidates every other clan light.
-Shadow cat : Meh at best, too much effort to make it work. That or you get a brawly-ish build and stick with someone else.
-Ebon Jaguar : Miniature timber wolf.
-Executioner : Feels lackluster, even more so without the D variant.

If you pilot assaults a lot, the EXE is the best brawler in the game bar none. I have almost 72 hours in that ugly koala head cockpit, and I rarely touch anything else now. You can rush and face tank anything you cant dance around. MASCing around a direwolf is loads of fun. Nothing like playing firestarter-butt-invasion in a 95ton berserker.

Just my best assault actually, and until recently the D variant arm was on my Prime, so I don't recommend it.
The SHC has only one problem, it's lack of firepower. But I still do well in it.

However, I'd also consider buying one of the mastery bundles.

...And don't buy a Clan OmniMech pack. If you do, you're only buying half of each Mech. PGI locks down the engines, heat sinks, JJs, etc. in a sorry attempt at balancing. If you want to buy Clans, go with the IIC pack instead. Supposedly, nothing on those Mechs will be locked, so you will have full ownership and customization for them.

Thanks for your reassurance guys, I'll be getting the pack. The cons are low and the pros are high.
