can you remove the game using programs and features?
if not try downloading Glary Utilities it is a PC speedup program which also has an uninstall utility which often works when the Windows uninstall does not. try uninstalling through Glary Utilities, advanced tools, uninstall manager, does that work?
if not then you only option is to uninstall manually, to do this
go to "c:\ Program files (x86)" or if that does not exist just "c:\Program Files"
then to "piranha Games"
then delete the Mechwarrior online folder
most likely you will get an error message about it being unable to remove some files
open a command prompt window (press start then type "cmd" and click on the icon which shows up
that will give you a black window with white writing, that is the command prompt window
you must enter the commands exactly as shown, any mistake and you will get an error message but no further details, if you get an error message try again, if you cannot get past a specific error let me know what it says and after which step, you can paste by right clicking the tip left corner and selecting "edit" "Paste" enter the following, then press enter:
cd\ "C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games"
if that does not work try this
cd\ "C:\Program Files\Piranha Games"
the line of text should now begin (maybe without the (x86): C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games
now enter the following and press enter:
attrib -r -a -s -h -i "MechWarrior Online" /s /d
now try the following and press enter:
rd /s /q "MechWarrior Online"
it may take a while to run that command, after it has finished enter the following and press enter:
dir
it should give you a directory tree, which does not include MechWarrior Online
assuming that all works, now run Glary Utilities again, this time running the "one click maintenance"
fix any problems Glary brings up, then defrag the hard drive, you can use Windows defrag or I persionly think Ausligics disk defrag, or piriforms defraggler are better (again both free downloads).
MWO should now be fully uninstalled
