GTX 770 quite happy at 70% GPU usage in game, if you alt tab to windows while a game is in progress GPU usage jumps to 100% and the temps and fans go nuts.

DX11 Fullscreen mode

Not great.

Weird... I don't have your problem. I run an older system when the GTX 770 was a good GPU and still use it. System runs at 100+ FPS, fans are quiet, and the GPU temperature will sometime get as high as 125F, which means my fans are running slow and quiet. I ALT-TAB in and out of the MWO client all the time, to TS3, NVidia Control Panel, and numerous other apps running on 2nd monitor. Perhaps it is something else.

For clarity and comparison the rest of the system is i7-4820K running at stock 3.6GHz, 16GB, Win7 Professional 64-bit, and running 64-bit MWO client using DX-11. Current driver is 355.60, but having never had this problem I doubt it's the driver.

EDIT: Oh yeah... All MWO video settings are at max, if that makes a difference.

I have the same problem, but the game does not allow "ALT+TAB" unless we open a window before running it.

Good feedback. I am currently in full window (and loving it) but there are some advantages to running full screen.

In any case it is a bug and should be fixed.

The problem is if you are not too experience with computers and do not pick up on the problem you could damgae your hardware.

Although GPUs are designed to run at 100% for extended periods of time, if someone has crammed a GPU into a case that does not have sufficient cooling or with a borderline power supply you could cause some issues. It reminds me of the fur mark torture test that people ran to test GPU overclocking and it blew up some GPUs.
