I play The Secret World and am wondering: Can we (in MUCH time) get ALL the pilot skills (therefore can I just take some, see if they are fun and if not move on?) or do we have to plan ahead?

Yes. It was confirmed in multiple instances that you can in fact earn all possible skills and unlock all possible modules and skill up all the Mechs in the game.
