too much of the same mechs, was nice to see an enforcer at least. Too bad he didn't do very well.

This is what happens when we allow many mechs to remain sub-par for too long...

There was a "Trench Bucket" too I think, a Kintaro, and a Centurion.

I agree that it would be nice to see more people take different mechs, but it could be worse I suppose *shrug*.

People want to win, so people will gravitate towards the mech with the biggest edge.

There was a big variety in the table top because of things like faction restrictions, BV restrictions, and other considerations. When you have no limits on who can play what and it's always going to be a set-drop format people are going to find and use the edge.

Not sure what you are pointing out.

There are 15 different mechs. Of those, 15 clans and 9 sphere. I see no Cheetahs, Firestarters, or Ravens and only one Stormcrow. And look! there is a Trebuchet, Kintaro, and Highlander - those are usually rare. Also, a Mad Dog and Centurion.

On the flip side, I see 5 Dire Wolfs.

Flamers are actually quite amusing if you are running a light lance with friends in group. We'll make sure our fatties are close enough to group to be okay, then buzz off as a group to find a target. The amount of mechs we've destroyed because between the four of us flaming him and the laser vomit meta is hilarious. They can't see anything and they shutdown fast.

For Pug drops or CW yeah still pretty terrible.

The funny thing is that (and I'm probably in tier Underhive), the assault variations are a bit stagnant. The heavies are stagnant and the lights to a varying degree right now. But mediums have a lot more different mechs. It's not always stormcrows when I play. But again, I run Hunchies with Lurms.

Human nature takes the path of least resistance. But I also agree because of total freedom with out restrictions an such only a handful of mechs are seen often with the others being rare sights.

2 novas a Summoner a terb, cent, Highlander and then a few of the top performers....

I dont know what you are complaining about....When its 8 TBRs 4 DWF and the rest crows i will agree its no good....

There isn't even any ACH in that match...i really dont see the issue in this picture. Thats is two pretty diverse teams there. (aside from charlie being all whales)

and we never will. How the hell would they be able to take away mechs you own because youre the wrong faction to have them lol

If you want to address how free choice leads to homogeneous selection then please step up.
