This is just a public declaration of love. I bought the Trebuchet mastery pack on a whim today, and the stock Loup de Guerre with 4xLRM5 2xML is easily the most fun I have had with this game since I started playing last month. Quick, tough, annoying, and with a killer paint scheme. What else does a man need in the love of his life?

Loup de Guerre, mon amour!

Treb's my favorite mech, and the Loup is the icing on the cake my friend. Mon bon ami. Got 18th in its division in the last tournament. Straight up four SRM-4's with Artemis. Stock is pretty nasty on its own though, especially with some modification. Enjoy!

Edit: Checked the screenshot, it was 18th that I placed, 13th was where I was when I couldn't play anymore. Corrected.

Those LRM's on my Warhound are a disgrace. Please delete your LDG now.(hyperbole for emphasis)

Yeah, the LDG is a fun mech. I've got Four SRM4's and Two medium pulse on mine, get great damage with it.

I know the LRMs are sacrilege for some, but they suit me just fine until I learn how to get in and not be destroyed right away. Other than weapons, what would you change about the stock build: smaller engine, jump jets?

Well, lrm are not so weird, it's a weapon that requires teamwork, not only tag/bap by yourself.
I know with whom I must play when I want to lurm around, for instance, because there are always spotters/narcer or tagger in that team.

Anyway, for a good lurmer u must have tag, bap and artemis. It's easier to build a striker with the LdG.
Moreover lrm5 is eaten alive by AMS.

So, a possible lrm build should be this one:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...4f7d54cba1e5de3

Note that 2lrm10 are like 4lrm5 without being "nerfed by ams" so much, and you can have good short range defence, with 2srm4+ml.
With the tag you'll see that you can search your own target, and you can lock even the enemy ecm mech.

edit: of course a good lurmer must have target decay module.
