Hi fellow Mech Warriors,

I just came across an article talking about us (the United States) vs. Japan in regards too each side battling each other (for fun of course) in a giant, multi-story, multi-ton robot piloted internally by a pilot.

Is this the start of tech for a "real world MechWarrior Online" scenario where countries build and operate giant robots to do battle (or for sport/fun)? How cool! Only time will tell if this actually happens.

This "MegaBots" kickstarter project and event seems legit and includes NASA, DARPA, and Grant Imahara of Mythbusters.

Here is the link to the MegaBots "kickstarter" crowd sourced/funded page:

Here is the article I read on Engadget:

Here is an article on Popular Science:

I may get in on the kickstarter and am really interested to watch this match. Might even be willing to pay to watch it live and/or be there in person.

Maybe one of us who plays MechWarrior online can give the kickstarter team some ideas from this games mech build designs so that we (the US) can win vs. Japan.

If there was other threads about this I did not know. The article I read yesterday was dated August 18th 2015 (just a few days ago). Threads seem to be active here and didn't see anything initially. Regardless, this looks awesome!
