I see you edited your post and changed your wording around :). You initially made the Jenner IIC sound like an Artic Cheetah replacement and now worded it as an Artic Cheetah hunter.

OK, for that purpose I could see it being a bit more dangerous. Poor-ish CT hitbox or not, the ACH isn't going to want to stick around and stand toe-to-toe with a streak machine firing many incoming streaks (defeated with BAP). Still, if the ACH decides to do the circle strafe dance of death with the Jenner IIC, the Jenner would probably win, but be CT cored pretty good after a few SPLaser blasts (even with lag shield).

I think it will be a costly victory for a IIC. I think the best hope is the Artic Cheetah runs.

Again, this is assuming an IS Jenner style CT hitbox.

IT will hunt EVERYTHING. 6 clan SRM6 at 150kph? Its just going to run around and **** on anything in 2 shots then run away to cool down. Pgi will be smart, they will limit it somehow. This games players are having its strings pulled and if the jenner REALLY does run around with srm 36, I think some people are gonna rage a little, because that's just unfair.

6 clan srm-6 can run only 140 or so
and also srm-6 spread too much imo people will run 6 srm-4

I think people are forgetting that the JIIC is still a light 'Mech.

The whole 160-kph streakboat thing is a lot less likely than one might initially figure - yes, the JIIC's got the hardpoints for it, but it doesn't have the weight. Remember - the stock configuration runs one Streak-4 and two cSRM-6s, with limited ammo and half armor. If you're going to fit multiple Streak launchers and sufficient ammo on the thing while still retaining that whole 315cXL Glorious Go-Fasta' Engine...well, you're not going to do that.

A JIIC with enough Streaks to seriously threaten other lights will be a JIIC which will have been forced to downgrade its engine significantly, and thus be no faster, and possibly even slower, than the lights it hunts. I don't see Streak JIICs replacing the Streakcrow as the game's premier anti-light barrier - the Crow has the weight to really abuse those launchers, the Jenner just doesn't.

No, no. The best JIIC fits are going to be mostly the same fits you see on Spheroid Jenners - beams-and-SRMs where applicable, or just raw beams where not. It just doesn't have the weight to do much of anything else reliably, at least long-term.

Yeah, cuz streaks have such amazing ranges themselves..... and need lock time, and are easily countered. Thing will be far scarier in GOOD hands with standard SRMs.

Yeah, if you put a 300 in it will have 11 tons left at mostly full armour, not enough for a significant streak loadout imo. Its main potential OP factor is taking advantage of 1/2 weight clan SRMs.

All hail CStreak 4/6 boating speedy Light. Perhaps only then will the dreaded Arctic Cheetos dwindle in Puglandia. Wishful thinking, probably. :P

there will not be CSSRM4/6 boating... the scrow will just to it better at the same speed and with tag and bap. but i think 6SRM6 builds will be really common. and in the current state, with really low ghost heat and low weight for the CSRM6, that 72 alpha tiny nuke will do better than John Holmes himself.

Quad CSSRM4s is completely possible on Jenner IIC with four tons of ammo and 152 kph speed. Just strip one useless arm off of its armor and done. Or one can boat Triple CSSRM6 on it with 142 kph speed.

I'd like to see the Crow catch up to the Cheetah. ;)

I grow bored of effortlessly achieving 4 kills every match in my Arctic Cheeseplatter, as lesser Mechwarrior flail around trying unsuccessfully to scratch my torso armor.

I for one welcome the break in the monotony that the Jenner IIC may provide.

or we could just nerf the cheeta? Its not hard, couple number changes. It really isn't. PGI said the deal is if it is TIER 1 IT DOESN'T NEED QUIRKS. Not if its tier 1 give it even MORE quirks.

I think if i was going to streakboat the jenner IIC id run hex streak 2s. Smaller alpha but great refire rate in comparison.

It's a pretty fitting analogy for how MWO works sometimes. Goodbye ACH rabbits. Hello Jenner foxes.

If MWO had different scenarios/objectives it wouldnt boil down to just moar firepower/hitboxes.

except cheetah will be able to kill jenny with that loadout

and also it can run from it using its jumpjets, jenny cannot really pack much of them with either 6 ssrm-2 or 4 ssrm-4 or 3 ssrm-6

so, streakjenny will be a lighthunter with heavy limitations vs other weight classes (way heavier than streakcrow with her alpha of 60) and still not dominating other lights enough... good vs them but a firestarter or ach will have a very good chance to kill it 1v1

so the jenner could load 4CSSRM4 + ammo + BAP and tag (ofc not tag) without dropping down the engine? since when?

also i didnt said the crow is faster. i just said is anyway better at boating squirrel killing streaks.
the IIC jenner would rock in 6CSRM6 sweeping strikes

It used to be how I dealt with "skill ravens" back when most raven pilots just slammed on the SSRMs and didnt really aim lasers.

Yeah, what changed was people's ability to aim, not the netcode.

exactly. plus you need BAP, plus that low ammo capability will severely limit streaks spam. means you save ammo for lights, light mediums, nothing else.

the splatjenner loadout aka bi-oxide, would have even better chances to leg off any other light with SRMs in a tight package, with enough ammo to take out other threats with a couple of alphas in the rear.

but, still got jenner geometry. easy to CT with 2 AC20 or 2 PPC paired shots. unlike the ACH or the spider.

That's what I was thinking myself, honestly. Enough missile density to still deal semi-reliable damage, but faster-firing, less prone to crits (for what that's worth on a light), much faster refire and better control over salvo size. Probably be what I do on the Prime, when it hits.

Heh, not that the Prime is going to be the big-ticket item there. The JIIC-2, -3, and -A will all be enormously more dangerous. The IIC-3 especially might end up being a better infighter than the Cheetah, with quad cSPL and dual cSRM-4 on a higher engine and with thicker armor. Might, mind - there's a lot to be said for the Cheetah, and I know most folks would prefer the JIIC-A with its hexbeams. That's the one I figure is going to run away with the world, as much as I personally like the notion of the -2. ALLDAJETZ.

people will dink around with the missiles for awhile, they'll be nasty buggers for certain.. although 6 C-ERML + 1 JJ + TC1 is going to be what it is.

hope that re-balance incoming soon can pull something out of its... otherwise clans get better everything jenner. what? they take away modules... no. they give negative quirks? doubt it.

PGI, y u make me so mad on dis one? don't even bring up cheetah <_<
