Anyone else noticed a drop in earnings since last patch, especially with the new rescoring.

Seems like im earning with premium time what id get if it was not running.

Feels like a 30% reduction on average.

And before you go git better etc, My performance levels been about what they were pre PSR and Tier introduction.

It's the way matches play out that's changed, not the earnings formula.

Seems about the same to me and I've been nearly exclusively mastering un-leveled mechs. Possibly more as it averages out because the matches up until last night didn't seem to be made completely at random.

Matches beeing closer maybe a part of it, but i had a >1000dmg +4kills match today and got about 160k (without premium time) for it.

It was a loss, but i think with the old scoring system the payout would have been above 200k easily... .

Same here. Earning 170K for a win while semi-carrying the team is just sadface. :(

Yeah, it feels like they snuck something by us with the last update.

Now, I've well and truly sucked in the few matches I've played, but even then the least I used to get in a bad match was 50-60k. Now I've seen matches with 30k, and those were losses that weren't stomps.

Admittedly, I'm contributing to my own problem by learning new mechs at the time, finding the load-outs and abilities of them that work best for me, but I also think PSR has it in for me as I do not in anyway think I'm anything near tier 2, let alone tier 1, but I seem to be getting matched up with them and butch-slapped pretty hard.

I may have to go back to some of my older, tried and true rides and see how that goes.

Making 30-50% less on average over about 20 matches.

Or [R] mechs O.o I pulled 250k in a match with an [R] mech then, with the 250k bonus and the 250k bonus that game was like 750k - maybe this event is to disguise the nerf lol

I wouldn't be surprised, they've done stealth c-bill nerfs many times in the past, it seems we are about due for another.

Earnings totally nerfed...

What you want to do is have your damage done mostly or only on internals.

I'm finding that shooting people in open spots with my Lights (like fomr behind) and blowing off torsos scores way more cibills than slugging it out up front and doing damage on armor.

So basically be a scrub... hide, shoot at wounded mechs, and try to KS like a mofo without dying.
Several matches I've made 200K+ base cbills on 400 damamge this way.

Don't like it... don't play in the PUG queues (both solo and group) play in your 12 man units where such behaviors can get you canned.

PGI is using the squeeze them until they uninstall economy plan to get ridof the last few players that actually want to stay and play MWO.

All PGI had to do was make sure win or lose in solo MM battles players got a minimum of 150k then add team and skill bonuses on top of that to insure players had enough C-bills to outfit there mechs and be happy.

Its the same with CW a minimum 250k per battle then add team and skill bonuses on top for those that excel and players would have been more than happy with C-bill production in MWO.

But no!!!! Russ lets kill off the rest of the MWO player and fan base so you can DUMP THE GAME AND MOVE ON

P.S this is without Premium on the C-bill output ideas.

Had this feeling as well, but am still not 100% sure. To me personally it does not really matter since I have a decent amount of mechs and can probably wait for the next sale before I buy more. It is however not a good trend for attracting new players. No one stays with a game if he feels he has to farm for a month before he can actually play.

People complain about C-Bill income... rightfully so in the case of a hard loss or series of hard losses. I think players who achieve a minimum match score should receive a minimum amount of C-Bills per match, like 100,000. On the other hand premium time + C-Bill bonus chassis + doing well = what I would consider way too much especially when compared to the poor buggers who got stomped.

So new economy and please consider re-arm/repair and salvage in a way that makes sense for MWO!

Oh yeah, they snuck in an -on average- CBILL change. I used to see 400k-500k in super matches, now my best matches barely break 350K.

No that is not my average income, just my super-nearl1k-lots o kills matches.

Probably tied to scoring change. Look, if you make enough money to buy mechs with cbills how can they get you to buy mech packs and premium time?

We're in the Sunk Cost Fallacy Exploit part of the business model now. We've already spent so much time and money that we are unlikely to leave so long as monetization tweaks are small and spaced enough. P2w approach to new mech releases are a bit more obvious, ability to be competitive in the game without spending money slightly reduced, but we'll maintain the fiction that isn't the case because we're already so invested and it's not THAT BAD, right?

So pretend it's not the case or justify it or whatever helps you pretend and keep playing so you don't confront that absolute reality of the games steady migration to p2w, or as close as it can get.

Then again, who remembers when you absolutely could make enough cbills to afford mechs no trouble and money only got you Heros (that were in no way superior), paints and mech bays. All mechs were out for cbills and nobody had months of exclusivity.

Is what it is and PGI does what we pay them to do. When you paid them for that last mech pack you paid them to nerf cbills again. Justify that however you want.

It's at least that much. And it's annoying.
