Ouch that looks bad. Was the loss due to player skill gap though, or was it simply tonnage/tech difference? What units were you fighting?


Well let's be honest... there's always been something off with PGI saying that any assault mech is = another. If I would have seen 5 King Crabs with the losing team... then I'd say "Pilot, not mech" issue. But there is something to say when a system considers 80t mechs to be equal to 100t mechs.

So in assault tonnage alone... 500 tons for team A, and 425 tons for team B. You're missing 75 tons worth of weapons and armor... hell practically another mech.

I'm really hoping they do more with Battle Value than just using it on a spreadsheet to justify quirks... because the matchmaker is too loose when considering this as well as balancing it.

The more players we lose because pgi won't listen to its customers, the smaller the player pool becomes, and to keep it going we will all be mashed into the same queue.

Pgi listen to the players.

Fix CW

Once you do that the players will return and the tiers will fill up again.

This game is in a death spiral headed towards a crash.

Before this thread goes "full mudhut" i would like to remind people that sync drops are still balanced by psr and very often those who get in the same match wont always be on the same side... Which is part of what makes them fun for teams. Brothers wrestling. So yes 10 ms is not a good thing they were in your tier brackets and you should have faced them or players just like them anyway. And with voip coordination is not an issue.

Needless to say i wouldnt be the happiest either.

the change is not in your tier. the psr was originally not mathcing T4's and T5's with T1's. if you are T3 as example, you could of course nto see much difference because you may had matches wiht the range of T5-T2 palywers in it. but you could also have matches with T3-T1 players in it.

the change will happen to T4, T4 and T1 playes because they cna now meet people they were not able to meet before.

this does not really even exists, its more aguildine for the MM to achieve, but neither in Pug nor in grp Q do these matches happen regulary.

and wiht thsi removed, i just wait for the first 24DWF match screen to appear.

The try hards have a hard time in the solo queue though, they don't have 11 other wall hack/aimbotters to help them out.

In my opinion the problem in the group queue exists because of unlimited group size. I totally agree with op - if PSR restrictions are removed from group queue it is bad. It is bad for those casual player who want to pew pew some small lasers as well as for small groups of 2 or 3 whose high psr throws them to the stomp groups with the lesser Tiers. Stomp groups stomp, rest exit the match annoyed. If PGI has to open the floodgates it is only telling us one thing - the group model we have now does not work.

Whether to fix this by forgetting the whole principle of PSR or changing the group restrictions is up to PGI but I'd like to see the groups being limited. Max four groups with max two weight class would significantly improve the quality. Players have been catered too fondly and PGI just needs balls to fix the real problem instead of band **** that make the game worse for certain people, like op.

It will go back to "normal" after the event is over.

Just like every other event, the terribads are out, as you saw and everyone else see's.

On the upside, the terribads will drop in Tiers and hopefully fast so you will not have to drop with them.

whats the buzz about battlevalue? As far as I have read, BV will not be taken into account to make matches. It will only be the new measuremeant to decide which and how many quirks a mech will get.
