Thank you for exposing BattleTech to a new group of people. I have been playing for a ong time. My current campain in almost 2 yrs old.On my 3rd character. Just cannot control those dice sometimes.

The biggest recomendation I can give is. HAVE FUN. Do not debate over the rules during a game. You are the GM. Make a decision and review it afterwards. If it is critical, Like saving a PC life, then spend the time to find the rule.

I hope you are also playing Mechwarrior with them. Let do some stuff out side of Mech. My GM uses modified Shadowrun Modules. The skills for Out Of Mech action is there. Use them. I would suggest using the Double Body rule and everything is fatigue damage. The PCs will last longer that way.

Good Luck and Good Hunting

Just using the character rules in A Time of War would probably work better.

You got some friends to play? Lucky you... Our group already plays a ton of games and gets together... Maybe once a month :D and when they do they either want to play 40K or fantasy or a specialist game.

Dont think I can pursuade them to try this game out

I'd love to play again but I can't find anyone to do anything but bring and battle, which is fun but I'd still like a story line.

You'd be surprised. Once they see the tactical elements of Battletech (which 40k has none of) they might change their mind. I've "converted" a few die-hard GW fan-bois (and girls) into playing real wargames. Sure, some of them still play those other mind-numbingly boring mass dice-rolling games, but they always remember Battletech, and always want to play a game when I make one of my all too infrequent appearances.

We use the Time of War book. But. I do not believe there are any scenerio(Mobule) for Out of Mech action. This is why I suggested using a modified Module from another game. Shadowrun and BT are made by the same conpany.
