There are a couple of general observations about this game and community.

1. PGI appears to be a small development company with very limited recourses.

2. The community has been about for a long time (longer than the game) and is passionate about the game.

3. The game needs content.

What I would suggest (in my ignorance) is that rather than spend a lot of time on hand crafting every map and mission that they spend that time on making a map and mission editor program.

The program could then be released to the community to create their own maps and missions. The editor could even be a paid for program or access could be granted as part of premium time.

Maps and missions created by the players could only be play through the Public Test Server (PTS) (and the PTS could only be accessible if you have premium time) and if you have been given the map or mission beforehand (to save on downloads etc) or however they want to distribute them.

It would then be open to PGI to select some of the best made player content and inject it into the game for everyone else. The creator could even get a reward if selected.

It would be simpler for PGI to make a new asset for the editor than make a new map with the new asset.

PGI gets money for selling the editor and saves money on production of maps.

Players get an active role in helping to make the game.

We all get new content, by way of maps missions and new assets (like destructible buildings)
