Thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the quoted point, when you switch to another 'Mech in the Academy your original 'Mech will be moved to its own dock around the Citadel. You can then re-enter that 'Mech by approaching it and hitting K.

Thanks!

Liking the experience thus far, goes a long way to get new pilots (and rusty old ones) in a better shape to play. Liking the animations at the beginning and when changing mechs.

I really would have liked to see assault mechs and most heavy mechs absent from the tutorial, as part of the lore element that assault mechs are extremely rare and expensive in this sparse universe Throwing them into the tutorial like ordinary hardware reduces the sense of shock and awe that one should inspire upon appearing in the battlefield.

Good introduction!
Me like :)

You can destroy cars! B)

But the gauntlet was bugged?
First lap seemed ok, Mechs activated and fired at me...
Second lap activated to many mechs ( I think )?
Third lap all previously disabled mech was not doing anything and generally facing the wrong direction and I could kill them.
Later laps was just running unopposed.

Edit: We are okay to make videos of this, right?

For sure!

If you do though, it would be appreciated if you point out that this is still the PTS build, and may not reflect the final release build (bugs etc).

Well, Captain Adams has to be a memetic badass. ^_^

He never stands on the same ground as the recruits. NEVER.

And he's the only one to pilot his Atlas on top of buildings. :D

Now, this was a grand surprise! The voice acting, the UI, animations, simulation helpers, new music, AI-Turret-Brain for mechs, challenges... Great step ahead!

And the switching mech animation was the highlight for me. That and the destructible cars...

However, I found many aspects buggy such as the challenges not ending, enemy mechs become permanently shut down (gauntlet), switching mech did not bring the HUD online for me once...

More polished needed but it is looking awesome. Congrats everyone!

I have not finished the tutorial yet but I am loving every minute of it!

I can honestly say that if this is what my money has gone to I am glad it went to it. It is vastly superior to the previous tutorial and shows great signs for the PvE that may one day come. You have my full support for MWO and keep up the great work!

Kill the captain (Dual-gauss headshot is the only way that works since he regenerates health), and he's gone forever. Kill any 'Mech in the Gauntlet (Or it's variant, the "Cored") and they never, ever come back.

As well, your heat doesn't reset between "Fast Fire" matches, which is a tad annoying.

The Minimap is zoomed in really far, but the quality of the minimap hasn't changed, making it look really cheezy. It only happens sometimes.

EDIT: After running the repair tool and re-running the game, it appears that it's fixed some of the issues. Removed my comments.

In the Firing Range, when you go after 'Mechs, it doesn't properly count "1-shot kills" making it impossible to complete. Everything else works OK.

You can kill the captain, as I said earlier with a headshot.

Suggestion: Make the captain's speech go through some kind of distortion as if he was over a real communication system. It feels really out of place when you drop in the tutorial and his voice sounds really clear.

This made me unnecessarily sad as his mech fell over without a sound. All of a sudden all of that guilt washed over me and I broke down and cried for about twenty minutes.

Wow, this is really just well beyond my expectations. Great job! The complexity and learning curve of this game is quite steep and this will really help.

Add in training challenges sound like they could be a fun way to practice skills and the eventual possible single/co-op PVE possibilities and I'm excited.

This definitely makes me feel better about investing more money into this game the next time something comes around that sparks my interest.

Thank you very much for posting this.

This...this looks amazing. It looks to be EXACTLY what my friend and I have been talking about for the last 4 months. This game is pretty good, but it definitely needs this to help us attract and retain new players.

We're lucky because the player-base for this game is very small. There are a lot of people who have not tried it yet, and haven't been burned. The steps taken in the last few months have all been great.

Thank you for continuing to work hard on this product, and thank you for working through the negativity to keep driving to the goal.

The video's of it look good. It looks like it is headed in the right direction.

I informed my wife of the good news that there was a tutorial coming so she could learn... She was not inspired by the news.

This is the highest quality in-game content that I've seen from you guys, and it's exactly what new players need to get started. Ya'll should be proud.

no, that wiill be added for the Clan academy pack.

At first I was bugged by the huge ammount of assaults and heavies in this tutorial (especially as target practice.), but then it was mentioned this was a simulator at the end-ish of the tutorial part...

I wasn't actually expecting PGI to be to focused on there mech selections and reasoning. ^^;

I'd like to see the arrow removed after the task is completed. It's really annoying.
