Don't really fully master mechs unless they go in my CW dropdeck. But I have taken all 200 plus mechs to basic mastery. So I decided to take a look to see which ones I was able to get to basic the fastest.

Taking just 5 matches and around 36 minutes each were the Enforcer 4P and the Ebon Jag C. But the next mech kind of blew me away. Was it the Artic Cheater? Of course not! It took just six matches to basic mastery of the Ice Ferret D?!

So what are your fastest to basic (or higher) mastery?

Generally takes me less than a minute to basic anything.

Champion mechs technically are the fastest to basic, because they have an XP boost.

What Bilbo said, but when I actually piloted a mech that wasn't basic yet, was a Shadow-Cat a few weeks back in a CW match. I think it was double xp weekend, or I got double xp for first victory.

Ended up staying alive in the mech for the duration, 14k exp or so was enough to basic it out in one shot.

I honestly don't recall the last mech I piloted before mastering it.

Bring at least to elite... you are missing out on speed tweak and double basics...

When you have a lot of modules mastering mechs becomes more important. When you don't have a lot of modules it's meh.

Spedn MC to convert Mech XP into General XP and spend them on your Mechs...done in a couple of minutes and no levelling pain (1 MC is 50 GXP afair).

My SHD has 2.7 Million Mech XP waiting for convertion if i would need it...

mastering mechs really helps a lot. ive seen my opinion of a mech do a 180 when its been mastered. sometimes i end up liking a mech i kind of hated when i first bought it. its that 2x basic multiplier that comes from eliting that is the thing you really want. those basic skills are pretty much all your heat management and mobility upgrades. then of course you have speed tweak. i dont own many modules (only about 30 of them across 41 mechs), so the extra slot really isnt that important. of course once you are elited then getting the slot is hardly any work at all.

1 match...

For one of the dragons.

NO GXP needed :) just premium time....and first win of the day...and double xp day.

Fully mastered every assault and heavy in the game.
Nearly all the mediums and lights.
Never bothered to time it as I haven't cared.

i think the thing that takes longest is getting the bills to buy the mechs. so while you are leveling one chassis, you are saving up for the next (at least after upgrades)
