Greets.

Almost daily, I am forced to run the Repair tool to find mismatched file errors on some .pak or texture file - usually I find this as soon as I enter a match and CTD - and then scramble to use the Repair tool and try to REJOIN the match. :(

Please do NOT do intermittent mini-patches in-between games, as this disrupts daily game play. Instead please do patches once a week, so we don't have to CTD and scan/repair between matches.

Other MMOs have more robust systems and simply do NOT CTD on some missing texture file. And if you must do regular changes, use a system like Guild Wars (1) which patches any file on the fly - even if we dont have it.

I have a 70MBPs connection on fiber - so I don't have dropped packets nor line noise! ;)

Please fix. Thanks.

Patches come in regular two-week intervals, every other tuesday. Sometimes there are hotfixes in-between but even those are announced on the website before they go live. When there is a patch all servers go offline for at least 30 minutes (with big patches it can be several hours) and no matches can be started until they come back online.

If your problem of corrupted files really happens on a daily basis you need to check your system thoroughly. It has nothing to do with any mini-patches.

Sound like memory+file corruption.

You could always try deleting every pak file and then redownloading them through the tool to improve stability, but if the pak corruption increases... you probably want to run some form of memory test (like Memtest).

Hi there,

I had this issue half a year ago and for me it was a damaged HDD with bad sectors, so each run of repair tool downloaded fresh files only to land scrambled on my drive
it affected other files on this drive too, so I had to exchange the HDD with a new one (I changed it to a SSD) and since then no repair tool was needed ;)

Are there other Files on your HDD which u use regularly and write often? then they could be affected too
