Add Old Forest Colony

I enjoy the new Forest Colony, but also the old one.

How about re-introducing the old map (call it 'Forest Dell' lol)?

Sometimes it's fun to have a faster fight on a smaller map . . .

They could make it available for private matches, I guess. Maybe 4v4.

If they ever put me in a 12v12 match on those tiny maps again, I'll be out of bounds before you can say 'cave rush'.

I never liked the idea of replacing old maps instead of just adding new ones. What's the point in doing the former over the latter?

I have good games on the old Forest Colony but overall, I am happy to see it go, and hopefully never come back.

Lol, new maps are better, the old ones can go. Both redos are 100x better. They look much better visually and for immersion.

Terribly sorry, bu tin true PGI fashion, they overwrote the original file and it can't be done.

I never had a problem with the original FC. Just tone down the fog like it was back in CB and it'll be good to go.

River City on the other hand was a trainwreck of a map and should've been ejected from rotation when 12v12 was introduced.

Why dont we add support for direct X 8 and windows 95 while were are at it

Not that the Old Forest Colony is good in anyway, especially for 12v12.

I like the new maps. But I've also noticed an increase in average match time.

Sometimes it's fun to have a knife fight :)

I'm glad that the old FC is gone. I hope it stays that way. It's simply too small for 12 vs 12.

I am one who would like the old forest colony to be in the rotation too.

It plays much differently to the new version that the variety would be welcome.

Plus personally I think the new map is too busy, with too many obstacles...and a nightmare if you have a longrange buiid

The old one would only be good for 4v4 games, but I have a feeling they want a certain level of fidelity in their maps going forward, so the old one may not make that cut.

Maybe for 4v4 or Solaris if either of those 2 things ever happen. Otherwise tiny map is tiny and needs to stay out of rotation.

The new FC is several magnitudes better than the old one. But since we don't exactly have hundreds of maps, i would keep it for variety. As an opt-in thing perhaps? Same for the old RC. 4 vs 4 seems right, even 8 vs 8, but no 12 vs 12.
